[00:00:30] Hi, I'm Sasha.
[00:00:48] And this is Mess Magnets.
[00:00:50] We're back, baby.
[00:00:53] Look at us go. We're recording, I mean, in the middle of the week. That's an improvement. This is progress.
[00:01:00] Better than the weekend.
[00:01:02] Better than the weekend.
[00:01:03] And this is good because it has us on schedule for we're gonna have to record early next week because we'll both be traveling. And so now we're like getting back to where we should be.
[00:01:14] Because like we fixed Mess Magnets is like spiritually a weekend podcast, but functionally we like to record it on Monday or Tuesday if possible.
[00:01:24] So that y'all have it for your weekend.
[00:01:29] Oh my gosh.
[00:01:30] But yes, listen.
[00:01:32] Yes.
[00:01:33] So listen, we're gonna make it.
[00:01:36] And that's what I do know.
[00:01:38] But anyway, I think we have a good amount of stuff to talk through today.
[00:01:43] Yes, we have like our main story and we'll see how long that goes.
[00:01:49] Yeah.
[00:01:49] And then based on that, I pulled a ton of kind of more quick bite situations that we can talk about and we can just do as many as necessary to get to like a regular length episode.
[00:02:01] So that should be really good.
[00:02:06] Should we just jump into it?
[00:02:08] Yeah, I'm ready.
[00:02:10] Let's do it.
[00:02:12] So I was tagged by a messenger on Blue Sky.
[00:02:17] Yes, everyone's moving to Blue Sky, baby.
[00:02:19] They didn't take me.
[00:02:20] Interesting.
[00:02:22] Yeah.
[00:02:22] Listen, I have no idea.
[00:02:24] It was so random, but I appreciate your messenger.
[00:02:27] Anyway, so they asked to explain the Outer Banks mess.
[00:02:32] So I said, listen, I did hear about like allegedly body doubles being used for cuddling scenes, but I didn't know what that meant.
[00:02:44] And thank you for sending me down this path because y'all know I watched the YouTube videos.
[00:02:51] I found all the posts.
[00:02:53] So let's get into it because to me, this is why Mess Magnets was made.
[00:02:59] This is why we have fun mess.
[00:03:01] So I really enjoyed going down this little rabbit hole.
[00:03:05] So let's do it.
[00:03:07] Okay.
[00:03:07] Oh, and if you are an Outer Banks fan and have not watched season four or honestly, you don't want to be spoiled about anything Outer Banks.
[00:03:20] This ain't the story for you.
[00:03:23] Just saying it.
[00:03:25] Listen, I haven't watched it, but that's okay.
[00:03:27] But just a quick shout out to Frail Mary, who is going to be so excited to hear this because she likes Outer Banks.
[00:03:36] Oh, my God.
[00:03:36] Yes.
[00:03:37] And sorry, Mary, if I missed anything.
[00:03:39] But, you know, this is like a third party girl.
[00:03:43] Me.
[00:03:44] Coming into this drama.
[00:03:46] Okay.
[00:03:47] So this is about the drama between Rudy Pankow.
[00:03:55] Yeah.
[00:03:56] Rudy and Madison.
[00:03:57] And Madison Bailey.
[00:03:59] So they are on the show Outer Banks.
[00:04:03] And they're in a slow burn romance.
[00:04:09] Or like an almost will happen.
[00:04:12] Like a will they, won't they situation.
[00:04:14] Okay.
[00:04:15] Yep.
[00:04:15] So I love that.
[00:04:16] And their characters are JJ and Kiara.
[00:04:20] Okay.
[00:04:21] So JJ and Kiara, just some background, right?
[00:04:24] We're not initially a couple on the show.
[00:04:27] But fans noticed that like these two had really good chemistry.
[00:04:31] So early on in season one, you know, fans have been like begging them to kind of come on.
[00:04:38] And, you know, like and y'all know how the stands be when they like something.
[00:04:43] So, of course, things have like flooded their timeline.
[00:04:47] And then I saw even videos of the two of them being like, you know what?
[00:04:51] Like we didn't even think of that.
[00:04:53] But we like it.
[00:04:54] And not like, um, not fanning the flames, but just being like, oh, shout out to the audience for like catching this.
[00:05:03] And that's exciting.
[00:05:05] Well, and this is the problem also with like teen dramas lately.
[00:05:09] It's like all of the actors end up dating each other.
[00:05:13] And then like real life relationships get written into the show.
[00:05:17] And it just like everything gets really messy.
[00:05:20] Yeah.
[00:05:21] So here's the tea on why this is messy.
[00:05:24] They never dated.
[00:05:25] I can't wait.
[00:05:26] Never?
[00:05:26] No.
[00:05:28] So exactly.
[00:05:29] I thought that it was one of these like dated in person.
[00:05:32] It didn't work out situation.
[00:05:34] Oh, my God.
[00:05:35] There are two people that dated on the show and they are together.
[00:05:39] And then they broke up and they still have to act like they're together on the show.
[00:05:43] And this drama is not about them.
[00:05:46] Yeah, exactly.
[00:05:48] Well, okay.
[00:05:49] Well, buckle up, everybody.
[00:05:51] So, right.
[00:05:53] Right.
[00:05:53] So they were like, like, again, I watched a few interviews and they're kind of just like
[00:05:57] both Rudy and Madison were like, oh, I didn't think JJ and Kiara like, you know, at first
[00:06:02] when when we were acting it out.
[00:06:04] But now that we went back to the lines and see it in that way.
[00:06:10] It makes sense.
[00:06:11] Okay.
[00:06:12] So that's how they kind of started.
[00:06:14] And everyone was just like happy go lucky.
[00:06:16] Right.
[00:06:16] Like season one, low stakes, cute.
[00:06:18] Maybe they'll get together.
[00:06:19] Slow burn.
[00:06:20] All right.
[00:06:21] Okay.
[00:06:21] Now things get crazy because they both began new relationships with other people.
[00:06:28] And were these other people like involved in the show at all?
[00:06:32] Or is it like a different?
[00:06:34] So Rudy went public with someone named Elaine, who was an assistant on the show.
[00:06:42] Oh, behind the scenes.
[00:06:44] Correct.
[00:06:45] Okay.
[00:06:46] And in November 2020.
[00:06:49] And then Madison also confirmed her relationship with her girlfriend, Mariah, who isn't anyone
[00:06:56] on the show, just a woman named Mariah Linney in June 2020.
[00:07:01] Okay.
[00:07:01] So November and June, they're now in relationships.
[00:07:04] So by the time season two of Outer Banks comes out, fans noticed that these two now aren't
[00:07:12] interacting with each other as much as they were back in the day.
[00:07:18] Like they're not interacting in social media or in the interviews, blah, blah, blah.
[00:07:22] And then they were like, oh, and they're posting far less photos together.
[00:07:26] And of course, Stans being crazy ass Stans.
[00:07:30] Stan detectives.
[00:07:32] Yeah.
[00:07:32] Put it on the two girlfriends.
[00:07:35] So on Elaine and Mariah.
[00:07:37] Saying that like, y'all are the reason, you know, that you're doing all of this.
[00:07:42] And things got so bad for Elaine particularly.
[00:07:45] Because there's videos of Elaine like pulling him while they're walking, you know, with like
[00:07:52] while they're getting papped, basically.
[00:07:54] She's pulling him and fans were like wanting to talk to Rudy.
[00:08:00] But it's alleged because I saw the video.
[00:08:03] I didn't feel like she was pulling him.
[00:08:04] I think she's kind of like, dude, I just want to get to dinner or get home.
[00:08:07] Yeah.
[00:08:07] They have like that's the thing, too, where it's like.
[00:08:10] Yes.
[00:08:11] If it's seeming like maybe not a scheduled pap walk and they just like literally have
[00:08:17] a place that they're trying to go.
[00:08:19] Yeah, no shit.
[00:08:21] And they have masks on.
[00:08:23] Like, you know what I mean?
[00:08:23] So this is like COVID time.
[00:08:25] So I can't even imagine that heightened extra layer of like we're meeting strangers.
[00:08:30] COVID is, you know, hi, everybody getting it.
[00:08:32] Right.
[00:08:33] So fans were like, oh, she is like taking him away when this show got famous, you know,
[00:08:40] during COVID.
[00:08:40] And now he's finally getting to meet his fans and she's taking them away like that kind
[00:08:45] of just.
[00:08:46] Yeah.
[00:08:46] Acting as though what they want is what he wants.
[00:08:49] OK.
[00:08:50] These stands.
[00:08:51] Correct.
[00:08:51] Correct.
[00:08:52] So it got so bad that Rudy had to put out like a whole thing saying like a whole statement
[00:08:58] basically talking about like stop, you know, calling out the disrespect and harassment
[00:09:02] for someone I love dearly on a daily basis and blah, blah, blah.
[00:09:06] He just wrote a whole thing.
[00:09:07] And he also explained why he was keeping things so private.
[00:09:10] Right.
[00:09:10] With Elaine and said that we're very happy in our relationship.
[00:09:14] I know I'm not actively showing on social platforms, but just know we're happy.
[00:09:18] OK, blah, blah, blah.
[00:09:19] So it's like a whole thing.
[00:09:21] But that's the long and short of it.
[00:09:24] Then there is a Madison goes live on Instagram with Mariah, her girlfriend.
[00:09:34] And someone brings up Rudy.
[00:09:38] And Mariah, so the girlfriend, goes, said something like, I don't want to talk about him,
[00:09:45] blah, blah, blah.
[00:09:46] I'm assuming because they're just annoyed that their girlfriend, you know, is constantly
[00:09:50] getting.
[00:09:50] They ask these questions all the time.
[00:09:53] Yeah.
[00:09:53] And again, I would be mad too.
[00:09:55] Not because I'm jealous.
[00:09:56] I'd just be like, dude, we have way more stuff to talk about.
[00:09:59] Yeah.
[00:10:00] So so yeah.
[00:10:01] So that's why, you know, that just obviously fueled more rumors to where Madison ends up
[00:10:06] coming online and says, listen, stop saying Mariah is dating me for clout because that's gross.
[00:10:13] And my it's not that my girlfriend doesn't like Rudy.
[00:10:16] That's just not true.
[00:10:17] She said on Instagram live, you know, she likes them both, a.k.a. Rudy and his girlfriend, Elaine.
[00:10:23] I literally got on the effing phone with Rudy this morning because of y'all's, you know,
[00:10:28] bullshit.
[00:10:29] Okay.
[00:10:30] And this is where I really enjoy it because also she says, listen, if she's with me for
[00:10:35] clout, that means you're saying I have nothing to offer in a relationship except fame.
[00:10:42] And whoever did that PR shout out to them because that's a great line, I feel.
[00:10:49] Yeah.
[00:10:49] No, that's like, oh, you say you're my fan.
[00:10:53] Yes.
[00:10:54] Well, explain this.
[00:10:55] Yes, exactly.
[00:10:57] So I just I loved it.
[00:10:59] Great PR training.
[00:11:00] Or so we thought.
[00:11:02] Oh, no.
[00:11:03] And she also said, like, listen, there are no romantic relationship between us.
[00:11:07] We don't like belong together.
[00:11:09] They're like, stop.
[00:11:10] That's weird.
[00:11:11] Okay.
[00:11:11] To the fans.
[00:11:12] Yeah.
[00:11:12] Now, fast forward to a 2023 cast dinner.
[00:11:16] All right.
[00:11:17] Oh, no.
[00:11:18] Fans were already sensing tension between the two couples.
[00:11:21] Right.
[00:11:22] And, you know, blah, blah, blah.
[00:11:23] But then people have theorized that in June 2023 is when this all came to a head because
[00:11:29] Rudy, Elaine and Madison were all in attendance.
[00:11:33] Right.
[00:11:33] Because Rudy and Madison are love interest on the show.
[00:11:37] Elaine works background.
[00:11:39] You know, production, whatever.
[00:11:41] And yeah.
[00:11:42] So we're all in attendance with other cast members, of course.
[00:11:46] And then we folks, because they posted pictures, I guess, of the same food or something.
[00:11:51] So everyone, you know, knew that.
[00:11:52] Oh, Lord.
[00:11:53] Yeah.
[00:11:53] And Madison and Elaine reportedly unfollowed each other.
[00:12:00] Oh.
[00:12:01] Allegedly.
[00:12:02] Again.
[00:12:02] And then it seems like also Mariah, right?
[00:12:08] The girlfriend of Madison unfollowed Elaine as well.
[00:12:13] And then Mariah and Rudy also unfollowed each other.
[00:12:18] Oh.
[00:12:18] And people are like, listen, it's unclear what happened at the dinner that, you know, led to
[00:12:23] all of this.
[00:12:24] But something must have happened.
[00:12:27] Okay.
[00:12:29] So now this is where it gets nuts.
[00:12:34] And I need y'all to walk with me.
[00:12:36] So there is a post on Tumblr.
[00:12:41] All right.
[00:12:43] Where someone said, like addressing basically all of it.
[00:12:48] And they, this is before season four.
[00:12:51] So whose Tumblr post is this?
[00:12:53] Their name?
[00:12:54] We don't.
[00:12:55] It's.
[00:12:55] Oh.
[00:12:56] OBS.
[00:12:56] Like it's a non.
[00:12:57] It's a non.
[00:12:58] So it's not anyone actually like involved in anything.
[00:13:00] Oh, no, no, no.
[00:13:01] It's like a stand Tumblr.
[00:13:02] You say that, but they have inside info.
[00:13:07] Okay.
[00:13:08] So it's Elaine.
[00:13:09] Yeah.
[00:13:10] Listen, my creepy.
[00:13:13] Because this Tumblr account leaks.
[00:13:17] Again, everyone, please fast forward.
[00:13:22] This Tumblr account leaks before season four has even come out as to that JJ is going to
[00:13:29] die.
[00:13:31] And he's written off the show.
[00:13:33] Like JJ's character, which is Ruby.
[00:13:37] What?
[00:13:37] It's getting written off the show.
[00:13:38] They said it's going to happen in Morocco.
[00:13:40] This is the exact episode that it's going to happen.
[00:13:44] And now that it's come out, we know that that person was coming on Tumblr.
[00:13:48] Whoa, whoa, whoa.
[00:13:50] That's a bit much.
[00:13:52] Uh-huh.
[00:13:53] Um, so and again, this whole dinner happened in the middle of filming season four.
[00:14:01] Okay.
[00:14:01] And so like, it's not the same, but it low key reminds me of there was this like Swifty
[00:14:08] Twitter account a while ago, like years ago, where people were saying rude things about
[00:14:13] Taylor.
[00:14:14] So she was spoiling end game for the people that were like saying the rules.
[00:14:20] That's so funny.
[00:14:23] Honestly, I love that.
[00:14:25] People should have more of this energy.
[00:14:28] Yeah.
[00:14:28] Agreed.
[00:14:29] Okay.
[00:14:29] So the dinner happened while they were filming.
[00:14:31] Yes.
[00:14:32] This Tumblr account was able to say exactly which episode and everything.
[00:14:37] Okay.
[00:14:37] Okay.
[00:14:37] They leaked like a bunch of stuff.
[00:14:38] Again, I don't want to make a new Tumblr y'all.
[00:14:41] So I'm not going to look, but it's OBX Anon on Tumblr.
[00:14:44] Okay.
[00:14:45] So they like leaked up.
[00:14:46] They said a bunch of shit that happened.
[00:14:48] But basically what I gathered is that there's a, yeah, this, he's going to die.
[00:14:56] Right.
[00:14:57] And there's so much frustration between allegedly, again, these two characters, these two people
[00:15:04] that JJ and Kiara are finally getting together and end of season three.
[00:15:10] So folks were like very excited.
[00:15:13] But then we start watching season four and people are like, their chemistry is off.
[00:15:19] It's not working.
[00:15:21] Something's wrong.
[00:15:22] And then there's a bonfire scene that comes out.
[00:15:25] And this, I actually.
[00:15:26] Oh, great.
[00:15:27] This I've seen, right?
[00:15:29] Where they were like, not actually filming with each other.
[00:15:32] Right.
[00:15:33] Yes.
[00:15:33] So there's this particular scene where it looks like they're using body doubles when they're
[00:15:38] cuddling near a fire.
[00:15:41] Imagine needing a body double to cuddle someone.
[00:15:45] I know.
[00:15:47] That's so funny.
[00:15:48] I think that's just hilarious.
[00:15:51] So that's what's happening.
[00:15:54] And so, yeah.
[00:15:57] So it just, it seems bad.
[00:15:59] And the camera is like cutting back and forth.
[00:16:01] So you just feel like, you know, there's just no way they're in the same frame is what people
[00:16:05] are saying.
[00:16:06] Allergically.
[00:16:07] And people are saying that the fact that, you know, they're refusing to work together
[00:16:11] shows like unprofessionalism because there's literally two exes on the show that are dating,
[00:16:18] you know, that are.
[00:16:18] Well, no, like it's our dating.
[00:16:20] It's a hundred percent unprofessionalism.
[00:16:23] But then I'm like, OK, but what's the cause of this rift?
[00:16:27] Because if it's like bad enough, maybe I can excuse it.
[00:16:30] But also like you're literally an actor.
[00:16:36] Shouldn't you be able to act?
[00:16:40] Like that's what I'm saying.
[00:16:42] Like you don't have to talk between takes.
[00:16:44] Mm hmm.
[00:16:45] Do you know that during Gilmore Girls, Lorelai and Luke hated each other in real life?
[00:16:51] Yeah.
[00:16:52] Well, that adds up because have you seen how Scott Patterson talks on podcasts and shit?
[00:16:58] What a baby back.
[00:16:59] Yeah.
[00:17:00] So that's why.
[00:17:01] But again, but it worked on the show, right?
[00:17:03] Like they hated.
[00:17:04] Yeah.
[00:17:05] I mean, I think that like if two people hate each other, but they're good actors,
[00:17:08] like that can make some of the most explosive, like love chemistry as well.
[00:17:13] Like there's a fine line.
[00:17:15] Correct.
[00:17:16] So that's what people wanted.
[00:17:18] And even they wanted like the character of Kiara to have a more visceral, you know, reaction
[00:17:24] to JJ's death.
[00:17:26] But, you know, didn't happen.
[00:17:29] And but Rudy praised her performance.
[00:17:30] And even like in her interview said, like, everyone was on board to bring their all, you
[00:17:36] know, Madison and I brought it.
[00:17:37] I know we crushed it.
[00:17:38] Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
[00:17:40] And then people are also saying that that's why he was he was asked.
[00:17:45] No, sorry.
[00:17:46] He asked Rudy himself asked for JJ, his character to be written off the show.
[00:17:53] Because.
[00:17:54] Because, uh, OK, that's what now hold this because I'm going to go to Tumblr and the same
[00:17:59] person.
[00:17:59] Well, yeah, but it's also like just before we get the Tumblr, which I have not seen, like
[00:18:04] I feel like if someone is achieving some success with like a big stand community from like a
[00:18:10] Netflix teen drama, they might decide, oh, I'm too big for this and ask to be written
[00:18:16] off because they quote unquote want bigger projects, which I feel like won't come to him
[00:18:22] if that is the case.
[00:18:23] But like I could see that as being like the logical justification if there wasn't all this
[00:18:30] other mess.
[00:18:31] Yeah, I beg.
[00:18:34] But well, listen, I actually really like that because and this isn't in this article, but
[00:18:40] in the video I saw the folks were saying at this point, Elaine was not working on the
[00:18:46] show.
[00:18:46] Fired?
[00:18:47] Question mark.
[00:18:48] Ooh.
[00:18:50] Yeah.
[00:18:50] So and that's why maybe what led to all the unfollowings, because, you know, maybe it was
[00:18:55] just like, hey, we professionally don't have to work anymore and we're not like friends.
[00:18:59] Yeah.
[00:19:00] Which is fair, but it's also like just mute them.
[00:19:04] You're a public figure.
[00:19:05] What are you doing?
[00:19:06] Mm hmm.
[00:19:08] So, yeah.
[00:19:09] And of course, the like shows creators and stuff were like, oh, no, we thought he would
[00:19:14] die for sure, you know, in the very beginning of season one.
[00:19:18] And we were pretty sure that it was going to be JJ blah, blah, blah.
[00:19:21] OK.
[00:19:22] And we weren't sure when we were going to play the card, but he knew all along that, you
[00:19:29] know, it's going to be him.
[00:19:31] OK.
[00:19:33] OK, sure.
[00:19:34] Right.
[00:19:34] As if any of these shows know what they're doing that far.
[00:19:36] Correct.
[00:19:37] So, yeah.
[00:19:38] So just just wanted to share that.
[00:19:40] Now, let's go to Tumblr.
[00:19:42] Again, same person that called out what happened.
[00:19:46] OK.
[00:19:47] So like that it was going to happen before it happened.
[00:19:50] So they asked it.
[00:19:51] Was JJ's death planned?
[00:19:53] No.
[00:19:54] Rudy asked to leave the show.
[00:19:56] It was something the writer.
[00:19:57] It wasn't something the writers planned.
[00:19:59] He didn't want to renew.
[00:20:01] So maybe what you're saying, Kirsten, is correct.
[00:20:04] Like he probably thinks there's so much more opportunity out there for him.
[00:20:09] But you're wrong.
[00:20:10] Mm hmm.
[00:20:11] So the writers were rightfully upset and then decided to kill JJ off because he didn't want
[00:20:18] to renew.
[00:20:18] And then they were like, did the producers and writers create an uncomfortable set?
[00:20:24] Um, no, they didn't.
[00:20:26] Because they're saying like the posts where people are saying that on Tumblr isn't true.
[00:20:31] You know, folks were never inappropriate.
[00:20:34] OK.
[00:20:34] So then what Madison a bully on set?
[00:20:37] Uh, I've seen a post going around of someone saying Madison was a bully and controlling
[00:20:42] and buttonly treating Rudy and crew members like crap.
[00:20:46] That is not true.
[00:20:48] Was Rudy's decision sudden?
[00:20:50] Yes and no.
[00:20:52] No, as in he let their pates.
[00:20:55] I don't know if they're the writers or show creators.
[00:20:57] Sorry, y'all.
[00:20:58] Um, let the pates know ahead of time.
[00:21:00] He didn't want to continue sometime during the strike.
[00:21:03] So they had time to change what was already written.
[00:21:06] Yes, they were shocked by it.
[00:21:08] But this is also like, don't people sign on for seven seasons of a show?
[00:21:14] No matter how many seasons it gets?
[00:21:15] I feel like.
[00:21:18] Yeah, I guess I don't know if Netflix follows that industry standard.
[00:21:22] Yeah, I just I don't think so.
[00:21:25] OK, OK.
[00:21:26] Sorry.
[00:21:27] OK, and the pates brothers seem to be the producers, writers, something like that.
[00:21:33] But, um, yeah.
[00:21:35] Listen, that's crazy.
[00:21:37] Wow.
[00:21:37] This isn't an Outer Banks podcast.
[00:21:41] We're just going for the mess.
[00:21:43] Yeah, add us that they are the writers.
[00:21:46] And I'll be waiting for my text message.
[00:21:48] Listen, period, Mary.
[00:21:49] And sorry if I forgot anything.
[00:21:51] But, you know, this is I'm outside looking in.
[00:21:54] So then, yeah.
[00:21:55] OK, so that's why they were just shocked by it.
[00:21:58] But they had known since a writer's strike.
[00:22:00] Right.
[00:22:01] Was there drama between Rudy and the the pates, which are, again, the writer directors?
[00:22:06] All of that.
[00:22:07] Yes, they were many disagreement, personal problems during season four.
[00:22:11] Yes, Elaine was involved.
[00:22:13] And yeah, so was Lila Pate.
[00:22:16] I don't know who that is.
[00:22:17] Well, Pate, same last name.
[00:22:19] Yeah, same last name.
[00:22:19] So some relation.
[00:22:21] So wait, do we know what Elaine's job on the show was or just that she worked behind the scenes on the show?
[00:22:26] She was one of the like production like assistants.
[00:22:30] Oh, so like pretty low on the run.
[00:22:32] No, but I think of like a high person.
[00:22:35] Oh, OK.
[00:22:35] OK.
[00:22:36] Yeah.
[00:22:37] I just I can't remember exactly what it said.
[00:22:40] But that's OK.
[00:22:41] That's OK.
[00:22:41] Yeah.
[00:22:44] Yeah.
[00:22:45] It's just she.
[00:22:46] Oh, yeah.
[00:22:47] Oh, my God.
[00:22:48] Assistant to the main guy, Jonas Pate.
[00:22:51] Oh, yes.
[00:22:53] Awkward.
[00:22:54] Awkward.
[00:22:55] So that's why her leaving the show is even crazy.
[00:22:58] Oh, she probably heard some shit and shared it that she was not supposed to share.
[00:23:02] Yeah.
[00:23:03] That's my theory.
[00:23:04] Obviously, speculation.
[00:23:06] Allegedly.
[00:23:07] Allegedly, allegedly, allegedly.
[00:23:09] OK.
[00:23:10] But anyway, they're civil now, though.
[00:23:13] Then why did every ship but G.R.
[00:23:18] get a still?
[00:23:19] I don't know what that means.
[00:23:20] But basically, the G.R.
[00:23:22] still does exist.
[00:23:23] I don't know why it wasn't released.
[00:23:25] I'm assuming like promo pictures.
[00:23:26] Yeah.
[00:23:27] My source doesn't know either, but I don't want to spread something.
[00:23:32] But it looks like Rudy and Madison did take pictures just like everyone did.
[00:23:36] But funny they didn't share it with us.
[00:23:38] Interesting.
[00:23:39] Why did a chemistry seem off?
[00:23:41] This is the tea in part two.
[00:23:43] Because, you know, Netflix is the same thing as Bridgerton for Outer Banks.
[00:23:46] So they shot episodes one through five.
[00:23:50] Then episode 10, which is the death episode.
[00:23:53] And then six through nine.
[00:23:56] So the cast didn't know Rudy has to leave until they received the script for episode 10.
[00:24:03] You can tell there was a drastic change between JJ and Kiara in part two because of the cast, how the cast found out.
[00:24:10] And Madison was upset with Rudy and his decision.
[00:24:14] So she didn't put as much effort into the scenes with him.
[00:24:17] Allegedly, allegedly, allegedly.
[00:24:19] But still, it's called being a professional.
[00:24:23] Mm-hmm.
[00:24:25] But this is interesting.
[00:24:26] She was upset because she knew that it would mean the near end of Outer Banks and her character in a way.
[00:24:34] Well, it's because it's the thing of like this stuff continues with like the stands and the shipping.
[00:24:41] And if the other person that you're like in a quote ship with is like, oh, I'm bigger than this.
[00:24:47] I want to go.
[00:24:48] Then you're like, well, where does that leave me?
[00:24:50] Like you just left me adrift.
[00:24:52] And didn't even give her the opportunity to also ask to be like written off so that she could pursue other things.
[00:24:59] Yep.
[00:25:00] And it seems like season five is the last season of Outer Banks.
[00:25:04] I thought this show got canceled like three seasons ago.
[00:25:07] I didn't understand.
[00:25:08] I did not know that there was still more to come.
[00:25:10] I know.
[00:25:11] Or that I lost in star reviews because Outer Banks.
[00:25:13] I didn't know.
[00:25:14] Like I, I know hate.
[00:25:17] I just literally had thought I had seen that it had been canceled prior to this.
[00:25:22] But I thought it was wrong.
[00:25:23] And usually Netflix does four max of shows, right?
[00:25:26] Like never have I ever only got four.
[00:25:29] Boo.
[00:25:29] And that's so disgusting to me.
[00:25:33] And wrong.
[00:25:34] But yeah.
[00:25:35] So then, so yeah.
[00:25:37] So that's happened.
[00:25:38] And turns out they were also alternate endings.
[00:25:42] Because they wanted to see allegedly if Rudy would change his mind.
[00:25:46] There was even scene where a funeral was shot.
[00:25:49] But they, it didn't air.
[00:25:51] So maybe they're saving it for season five.
[00:25:53] And from March to June of 2024, they spent the entire time doing reshoots for some scenes.
[00:25:59] That's why some things don't make sense.
[00:26:04] Interesting.
[00:26:04] But like, why would a reshoot mean that something doesn't make sense?
[00:26:07] Like typically when you're going over the reshoot.
[00:26:09] No, I think folks were saying like the storylines.
[00:26:10] Just like maybe things fell off, you know?
[00:26:13] Okay.
[00:26:13] Okay.
[00:26:14] Fair enough.
[00:26:14] And that's the way, yeah.
[00:26:15] Like I've signed a few things that fans kept saying.
[00:26:19] Hey, this feels off.
[00:26:20] This acting feels off.
[00:26:22] Whatever, whatever.
[00:26:23] Okay.
[00:26:24] Yeah.
[00:26:25] And, you know, apparently they did talk on set, just not closely.
[00:26:30] And it's the reason that they give them to less scenes than everybody else is because Rudy asked for it.
[00:26:39] Madison didn't care as much.
[00:26:41] And another part was that Rudy and Madison not doing more than what the script asked.
[00:26:47] So, like you said, being not great actors, maybe.
[00:26:54] And then was Elaine uncomfortable with their scenes?
[00:26:59] Allegedly, yes, she was.
[00:27:01] And she has been since season two.
[00:27:02] It got worse during season three and obviously season four, which is part of the conflict.
[00:27:08] Yeah, but like you're going to date an actor.
[00:27:10] They might have like scenes that you don't like.
[00:27:15] Yep.
[00:27:16] I don't know.
[00:27:17] This is all seeming very messy.
[00:27:19] Yeah.
[00:27:19] And it seems like background is really a mess.
[00:27:23] There's just a lot of drama, like we said, going on between them.
[00:27:27] Girlfriends were involved.
[00:27:28] You know, everyone feels hurt emotionally.
[00:27:31] La, la, la, la, la.
[00:27:32] But they don't feel like it's because of the fans.
[00:27:35] It really feels like there's just like some other drama.
[00:27:39] Like the culture.
[00:27:40] Yeah.
[00:27:43] Interesting.
[00:27:44] So, we don't know like, again, what all came together.
[00:27:47] But yeah.
[00:27:49] It's just very interesting.
[00:27:52] Yep.
[00:27:54] So, that's like from what I could find.
[00:27:59] No, this is fascinating.
[00:28:01] Like, I love fandom stuff.
[00:28:02] Like, when I say I'm not part of a fandom, that doesn't mean I'm not interested in the nitty gritty.
[00:28:08] Like, this is my favorite.
[00:28:10] Literally.
[00:28:10] When we can just like get into the weeds of an area that we've not really been part of.
[00:28:15] Right.
[00:28:17] Like, it's how I imagine all the people that were on Blue Sky and suddenly got like bombarded by the Big Brother community feel.
[00:28:25] Oh, my God.
[00:28:28] But yeah.
[00:28:29] So, it's messy and that's the tea.
[00:28:35] Good to know.
[00:28:36] Okay, that's really fun.
[00:28:40] Now, we're basically just going to jump into Quick Bytes.
[00:28:43] Yes.
[00:28:44] And we'll do as many Quick Bytes as feels normal to us.
[00:28:50] John Krasinski is people's sexiest man alive 2024.
[00:28:55] And like, be serious.
[00:28:58] He's good looking.
[00:28:59] I want to make that clear.
[00:29:01] Like, he's conventionally attractive.
[00:29:04] Yeah, of course.
[00:29:04] But like, sexiest man alive?
[00:29:08] I'm just so, it's just there's so many people.
[00:29:11] Well, it's but it's the thing where like, the sexiest man alive is actually more about like a PR thing.
[00:29:18] And apparently, allegedly, allegedly, allegedly, the people who get picked actually like, pay People Magazine a lot of money to be made the sexiest man.
[00:29:28] And then people also need to choose someone that's going to be willing to talk to them.
[00:29:34] Oh.
[00:29:34] Oh, it's also part of it.
[00:29:37] But I think it's just like, I also saw like someone had submitted a blind item to Dumois about like, this A-list celebrity felt like their star status was slipping and they thought it was worth paying millions of dollars to People Magazine to become sexiest man alive to try and like revive their career.
[00:29:56] Who is it?
[00:30:26] Where your fame?
[00:30:27] Like, I don't know.
[00:30:28] I never have considered him to be like, A-list.
[00:30:32] Yeah.
[00:30:33] But it's also like, I could be wrong.
[00:30:37] No fair.
[00:30:39] Yeah.
[00:30:39] I just feel like we have to see him as like a guest.
[00:30:43] Like not, um, not office.
[00:30:47] Yes.
[00:30:48] Um, I also just like for personal reasons, don't like John Krasinski as a person.
[00:30:53] So that is definitely feeding into my, my reaction on this.
[00:30:57] But also like, would it be People's Sexiest Man Alive if people weren't shocked and aghast at who it is?
[00:31:08] Oh my gosh.
[00:31:09] Like, I'm trying to think of when I haven't been and it's literally when it was Michael B.
[00:31:14] Jordan and Idris Elba's years.
[00:31:17] And I can't think of any other year where there hasn't been some sort of controversy.
[00:31:21] Because they just, I feel like they're doing it on purpose.
[00:31:24] Like Blake Shelton.
[00:31:25] No, be so for real.
[00:31:27] Exactly.
[00:31:29] But Blake Shelton must have it like that because Gwen Stefani wrote a whole album of like perfect love songs about that man.
[00:31:36] Fair, fair.
[00:31:37] But also Damien Idris is coming up right now.
[00:31:41] He's so fine.
[00:31:44] Why not?
[00:31:46] Why not?
[00:31:47] I just feel like he's so hot.
[00:31:48] Or Pedro Pascal for the like meme.
[00:31:51] Well, but that's the thing where it's like the people that are actually like so big and obvious.
[00:31:58] Yeah.
[00:31:58] Like they don't need it.
[00:31:59] They don't need the PR bump of going on People Magazine.
[00:32:02] Oh, just fair.
[00:32:03] It just feeds into their image more that they don't.
[00:32:06] You know now people are, nobody's tweeting.
[00:32:09] Oh, I'm so glad it's John Krasinski.
[00:32:11] People are tweeting.
[00:32:12] Why isn't it Pedro Pascal?
[00:32:14] Why isn't it Glenn Powell?
[00:32:15] Well, Glenn Powell obviously was my front runner.
[00:32:18] I don't know.
[00:32:19] On Renap when they were talking about like who's the hot boy right now.
[00:32:23] Like who's the male Sidney Sweeney.
[00:32:25] I was like, how?
[00:32:26] Oh, Glenn Powell.
[00:32:27] I'm like screaming at my phone.
[00:32:30] Oh, I would think it would be.
[00:32:33] Or Pedro.
[00:32:35] One.
[00:32:35] No.
[00:32:35] One of those.
[00:32:36] I would have said Paul Mezcal.
[00:32:41] Options.
[00:32:42] Yes.
[00:32:43] Yes.
[00:32:44] Scenarios.
[00:32:45] Yeah.
[00:32:45] I like that.
[00:32:46] I like that.
[00:32:47] Another one that I think is a hottie macaw is Kofi.
[00:32:53] I don't know what his last name.
[00:32:55] So I don't want to butcher it.
[00:32:58] Kofi Cerebo.
[00:32:59] Cerebo, right?
[00:33:01] He was in Meet Me Next Christmas with Christina Milian.
[00:33:05] I haven't watched that yet.
[00:33:06] You Must.
[00:33:08] It's very cute.
[00:33:09] Obviously I have to.
[00:33:11] Let me.
[00:33:11] Okay.
[00:33:11] I watched it the day it came out.
[00:33:13] The second one is already out.
[00:33:14] The second one of November is already out today.
[00:33:17] And I will be watching.
[00:33:18] Oh my God.
[00:33:18] And I haven't watched any yet.
[00:33:20] Yeah.
[00:33:20] I'm.
[00:33:20] Okay.
[00:33:21] I, I'm seeing the vision here.
[00:33:23] Yes.
[00:33:24] His smile.
[00:33:25] Yeah.
[00:33:26] He's got just like a beautiful smile and he had like a friendly face.
[00:33:31] Yes.
[00:33:32] Yes.
[00:33:33] Even when he's doing like his.
[00:33:35] Oh, that was.
[00:33:35] No, his like smoldering serious face.
[00:33:38] I'm like, I see you smiling in the corner of your eyes.
[00:33:40] I see it.
[00:33:42] He just.
[00:33:42] Yeah.
[00:33:43] I just love his vibe and I like his voice.
[00:33:45] I'm a, I'm a sucker for deep voices.
[00:33:47] Okay.
[00:33:48] Well, I'm going to have to watch Meet Me Next Christmas ASAP.
[00:33:52] I, again, it was a cute little movie.
[00:33:54] The other one like came out as the one.
[00:33:58] I'm like Pentatonix neutral.
[00:34:01] Okay.
[00:34:01] Cause they're in the movie too.
[00:34:03] But I heard from someone who like hates Pentatonix that they liked the movie.
[00:34:07] So I think it'll be okay.
[00:34:09] Yes.
[00:34:09] And Develle Ellis is so crazy.
[00:34:12] Kirsten.
[00:34:12] Cause I know him from his YouTube channel.
[00:34:15] Um, before he had a little like podcast YouTube thing, um, with his wife.
[00:34:21] And then he was on the show sisters.
[00:34:23] Uh, and I mean, he's still on that show and his star has just been going up.
[00:34:29] So.
[00:34:30] Hey.
[00:34:30] And another man.
[00:34:32] Yeah.
[00:34:34] I'm glad we got in our quota.
[00:34:36] Next sexiest man.
[00:34:37] You know, like the, the, like people you should be looking out for that we should be doing
[00:34:43] is every year we should have mess magnets world's like sexiest man alive.
[00:34:48] And it's just based off of what we think.
[00:34:50] Or we could do like a series of surveys and have the messengers voting as well.
[00:34:56] Oh my.
[00:34:57] Genius.
[00:34:58] I think it's time.
[00:35:00] We're due.
[00:35:02] What?
[00:35:02] We are taking it back.
[00:35:04] We are taking agency.
[00:35:06] Why haven't we done this the past two?
[00:35:08] What are we doing?
[00:35:12] Embarrassing.
[00:35:13] That's okay.
[00:35:14] Because we got there now and we'll be able to do it.
[00:35:18] And I, we will be making our HIV post for us.
[00:35:22] Period.
[00:35:23] Yeah.
[00:35:24] Okay.
[00:35:24] That's okay.
[00:35:25] I've got to connect to the RGP Instagram.
[00:35:27] Okay.
[00:35:28] I listen.
[00:35:29] I hope I do too.
[00:35:30] You do.
[00:35:31] I think I have it for Twitter.
[00:35:33] We've got both.
[00:35:34] Yes.
[00:35:35] And blue sky.
[00:35:36] No blue sky.
[00:35:37] We're killing it.
[00:35:38] So we'll just have Chappelle post it for us.
[00:35:40] Well, blue sky doesn't have polls yet.
[00:35:42] So we can use it to get like suggestions, but, and like post Google forms.
[00:35:47] But if we want like polls, polls, we'll have to do Instagram.
[00:35:50] I think we'll do Google form because Google does the tallying on the backend for us.
[00:35:55] Yeah.
[00:35:56] Okay.
[00:35:56] So, okay.
[00:35:57] Here's what's going to happen.
[00:35:58] Yes.
[00:35:58] We are going to put out a Google form.
[00:36:03] Yes.
[00:36:03] For suggest.
[00:36:04] Actually, we already have a Google form.
[00:36:06] Go to messmagnets.com.
[00:36:08] And in the anonymous form, put in your nominations for messmagnets, sexiest man alive to get people
[00:36:16] into the ballot.
[00:36:17] Wait, let's add a line.
[00:36:19] Let's add that at the top.
[00:36:21] Just so.
[00:36:22] Because I just feel like.
[00:36:23] Okay.
[00:36:23] I'm going to edit it.
[00:36:24] I'm going to edit it right now before I forget.
[00:36:27] Oh my God.
[00:36:27] We're going to add a nomination.
[00:36:29] We'll do it tomorrow.
[00:36:32] Period.
[00:36:34] Oh my God.
[00:36:35] I love this.
[00:36:35] We're adding a line at the top.
[00:36:38] Yes.
[00:36:38] I think it should be this, that.
[00:36:39] And send us your mess.
[00:36:44] For messmagnets, sexiest man alive.
[00:36:49] Oh my God.
[00:36:50] And it's going to be where you can put in a short answer.
[00:36:54] Yes.
[00:36:55] And then, listen, y'all don't be weird.
[00:37:00] I'm putting in where you can upload a folder, upload an image.
[00:37:05] Okay.
[00:37:05] No, don't.
[00:37:06] Oh my God.
[00:37:06] And if you, any, if anybody, you have to be signed into Google to submit it.
[00:37:12] So we'll know who you are.
[00:37:13] So if anybody does something weird, you will be called out named and shame on messmagnets.
[00:37:20] Nick Flintis.
[00:37:22] Did you see what happened to him?
[00:37:26] Oh my God.
[00:37:27] My form, my choice.
[00:37:29] All right.
[00:37:29] Don't piss me off.
[00:37:31] Period.
[00:37:32] And so.
[00:37:35] Okay.
[00:37:35] It's going to be, you'll be able to submit one image.
[00:37:40] And that's it.
[00:37:43] Oh my God.
[00:37:44] And, and the thing.
[00:37:45] Okay.
[00:37:45] And for everyone being like, why wouldn't you do a woman?
[00:37:47] Because all women are sexy.
[00:37:51] Women have been objectified for time immemorial.
[00:37:56] No, it's our turn.
[00:37:58] One woman.
[00:37:59] Shut up.
[00:37:59] There's no way.
[00:38:00] Our turn to objectify men.
[00:38:02] Yes.
[00:38:02] Period.
[00:38:03] Okay.
[00:38:04] And.
[00:38:05] I'm going to send this to all my friends.
[00:38:07] No, literally.
[00:38:08] Like, so this is, this is how it's going to work.
[00:38:11] Okay.
[00:38:12] You'll submit your nominations.
[00:38:14] Maybe an image.
[00:38:15] If you have like, if there's a particular one where they look like really sexy, whatever.
[00:38:18] You'll submit it there.
[00:38:19] I will be submitting.
[00:38:21] And I need multiple people to do that.
[00:38:24] That's fine.
[00:38:25] You can lobby for that.
[00:38:26] But, um, and then we will filter through like what we get.
[00:38:33] Yeah.
[00:38:33] And then maybe we will work with like the back behind the scenes to narrow down to a certain number of people.
[00:38:40] And then we'll have a public vote for the ultimate winner.
[00:38:43] Mm-hmm.
[00:38:44] Mm-hmm.
[00:38:44] Mm-hmm.
[00:38:44] This is how I'm envisioning it.
[00:38:46] Yeah.
[00:38:46] I love it.
[00:38:47] I love it.
[00:38:47] We'll, we'll narrow it down to five.
[00:38:50] Yes.
[00:38:51] Okay.
[00:38:52] I love this.
[00:38:52] We're greedy.
[00:38:53] And then when the time comes, hopefully Brian Scali will help us make a fake magazine cover.
[00:38:59] Please.
[00:39:01] Scali, please.
[00:39:03] Okay.
[00:39:04] I love this.
[00:39:05] Okay.
[00:39:05] Total.
[00:39:05] It was a total sidetrack, but it was worth it.
[00:39:07] And it was like lightly related.
[00:39:09] So that's wonderful.
[00:39:11] Um, I'm literally blue sky posting it right now.
[00:39:15] There's something crazy.
[00:39:16] We need to, we need to add, we need to record like an ad for it and ask Rob to put it in the other podcast.
[00:39:26] I'm sorry.
[00:39:27] Wait, I, why are you a genius?
[00:39:30] Wait, you know what we should do?
[00:39:33] But this is too much work.
[00:39:34] So I don't know.
[00:39:36] I'm going to wait.
[00:39:37] Okay.
[00:39:38] I'm going to messenger.
[00:39:39] Maybe not us.
[00:39:40] Um, I think we should record a audio ad.
[00:39:44] Correct.
[00:39:44] Yes.
[00:39:45] And I think someone needs to do like a vote for, you know, like, like a, you, like mess.
[00:39:52] We need you.
[00:39:54] Yeah.
[00:39:54] Yeah.
[00:39:55] Is there like the uncle Sam?
[00:39:57] We'll figure it out.
[00:39:58] I'm literally Kate.
[00:39:59] There's a live podcast on the RHAP YouTube happening right now.
[00:40:04] Do I go in the chat and be like,
[00:40:07] state.
[00:40:10] That might be too, they're, they're having a real conversation.
[00:40:12] That might be too rude, but I want to do it.
[00:40:15] I want to do it, but I'm not doing it because I'm a good person.
[00:40:18] Oh my God.
[00:40:20] We're going to figure it out.
[00:40:21] We'll, we'll have to take it.
[00:40:23] Let's, uh, circle back after we're just recording.
[00:40:27] No, I'm so excited.
[00:40:29] Like me too.
[00:40:30] I haven't been excited.
[00:40:31] This excited about like an idea in a long time.
[00:40:34] And the thing is, if y'all poo poo this idea, I will cry.
[00:40:38] Y'all.
[00:40:40] So.
[00:40:40] Come on.
[00:40:41] We know you better than that.
[00:40:43] No, we're going to, I'm like actually going to be talking to my real life friends.
[00:40:47] Mind you, most of them married to be like, please submit, vote.
[00:40:50] That's fine.
[00:40:51] You like, it's a hottest man alive, not man you want to be with.
[00:40:56] Oh, I'm leading the charge on this and I'm married AF.
[00:41:00] A lover girl certified.
[00:41:02] Okay.
[00:41:02] Okay.
[00:41:03] Let's move on to the next one.
[00:41:05] Um, I don't know.
[00:41:06] It's very famous too.
[00:41:08] Don't be like annoying.
[00:41:09] Okay.
[00:41:09] Sorry.
[00:41:10] You know, they have to be legitimately.
[00:41:11] Well, that's what, that's why you and I are going to narrow them.
[00:41:13] Okay.
[00:41:14] Five to make sure that it's people that, um, align with the podcast mission, vision
[00:41:20] and statement.
[00:41:21] Okay.
[00:41:21] Yes.
[00:41:22] Yes.
[00:41:24] Oh my God.
[00:41:24] I love this.
[00:41:25] Please.
[00:41:27] Let's okay.
[00:41:28] Let's get onto the next.
[00:41:29] Yeah.
[00:41:30] Cause I don't care about the sexy.
[00:41:31] Cause we will be doing.
[00:41:33] We'll be, we're going to do it right.
[00:41:35] Yes.
[00:41:35] And this could be a fun annual tradition.
[00:41:38] Oh no, it is.
[00:41:39] Do not let this flop.
[00:41:41] That's what I'm just.
[00:41:42] I beg.
[00:41:44] I beg.
[00:41:45] Okay.
[00:41:45] Cause there will be no more mess.
[00:41:47] Magnus.
[00:41:47] I'm just kidding.
[00:41:48] So, oh my God.
[00:41:50] Sasha.
[00:41:50] Don't, don't joke like that.
[00:41:52] That's not funny.
[00:41:52] Um, okay.
[00:41:54] So Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelsey's homes were both burglarized in the last month.
[00:42:00] And I don't know if it's like the same people, but I think it's very interesting that this
[00:42:06] happened.
[00:42:07] And it was one was on the day before the chiefs, um, one against the saints on October 7th.
[00:42:15] And once was like the day of the game.
[00:42:18] So like, it's very close.
[00:42:20] I feel like it seems like it's connected.
[00:42:22] Right.
[00:42:22] Why are they saying this one?
[00:42:23] It should just be, it happened.
[00:42:24] Like I also think it's hilarious that it's like, oh, the win against the saints, um, aired
[00:42:32] on Monday night football and was attended by Kelsey's girlfriend.
[00:42:35] Taylor's like, okay, enough.
[00:42:36] Um, and apparently $20,000 in cash was taken from Travis Kelsey's home.
[00:42:42] And I'm like, baby boy, get a save, get a bank account.
[00:42:45] What are we doing here?
[00:42:46] That's like insane amount of cash to just have out.
[00:42:49] What y'all got going on in life.
[00:42:51] Exactly.
[00:42:52] Um, and Mahomes has made a statement that cause he was asked about it this past week.
[00:42:57] Uh, and he said, it's frustrating.
[00:42:58] It's disappointing, but I can't get into too many details because the investigation is
[00:43:02] still ongoing.
[00:43:03] Obviously something you don't want to happen to really anybody, but obviously yourself.
[00:43:09] I love that.
[00:43:10] Which like, yes, that's true.
[00:43:14] Um, and so it, I don't know.
[00:43:17] There was no forced entry.
[00:43:22] And.
[00:43:23] But the thing is, these houses are probably still McMansions that like, do they lock their
[00:43:28] front door?
[00:43:29] I mean, I have to assume they lock their front doors, but it's like, there's probably so
[00:43:33] many doors and windows that like.
[00:43:35] And so many.
[00:43:36] It would be easy to miss or like easy for someone to like leave something unlocked.
[00:43:41] Like, I don't know, but I would assume that they would have like cameras on cameras on cameras
[00:43:45] as well.
[00:43:47] But again, it is the investigations still going.
[00:43:50] So like, we don't know anything, but I wanted to cue this up because I could see like, what
[00:43:56] if more of the chiefs get robbed?
[00:43:59] Or like, what if this turns out to be like an NFL robbery ring or something like, like,
[00:44:03] I just thought this could become a bigger story and we should talk about it on Mess Magnet.
[00:44:08] No, a hundred percent.
[00:44:10] I just think that rich people getting robbed, like there are definitely rings that do this.
[00:44:16] Remember the bling ring?
[00:44:17] The bling ring, baby!
[00:44:19] So that's why I thought it was really interesting.
[00:44:24] But anyway, I don't know.
[00:44:26] It's really tea here.
[00:44:28] Yeah.
[00:44:29] And because I saw that this morning, too, and I just very confused as to why.
[00:44:35] And a thousand dollars worth of damage to a door.
[00:44:38] What the hell doors y'all have?
[00:44:40] I mean, I think like doors are one of those things that's more expensive than you think
[00:44:44] they're going to be.
[00:44:45] Well, and again, it's like probably a huge house.
[00:44:47] Yeah.
[00:44:48] So it's probably like a really big door.
[00:44:50] And they like it's like couches where you think a couch should be like $200.
[00:44:54] Like couches are like $2,000.
[00:44:56] Correct.
[00:44:58] But never like.
[00:45:00] So I don't know.
[00:45:01] I don't know why my cat's screaming at me.
[00:45:04] But I hope you can hear it.
[00:45:04] Oh my God.
[00:45:05] When you were talking, obviously we're not a video podcast.
[00:45:10] But there was a time where Kirsten's cat just like showed up and we were like deep in conversation
[00:45:15] and it freaked me out because I thought.
[00:45:17] Oh, no.
[00:45:18] Another head coming in because of her color.
[00:45:21] Because they have the same color hair.
[00:45:23] Yes.
[00:45:24] Yeah.
[00:45:25] She's still there.
[00:45:26] She's still behind me.
[00:45:27] And then the other one is sitting right here.
[00:45:29] Like they're just in my space right now.
[00:45:32] Anyway, very sorry.
[00:45:33] I you y'all can't see it or hopefully hear them.
[00:45:36] But no, we know.
[00:45:38] Um, anyway.
[00:45:39] Okay.
[00:45:39] I can't I can't remember Sasha.
[00:45:41] Have you watched Euphoria or no?
[00:45:43] No, no, I haven't.
[00:45:44] Okay.
[00:45:44] So obviously, like, it's been a point of conversation for like years.
[00:45:48] Like, oh, man, Euphoria season three is never going to happen.
[00:45:51] Everyone's too famous now.
[00:45:52] Everyone's too busy.
[00:45:53] Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
[00:45:54] And it came out in a tablet like, I don't know, a couple months ago that people are having
[00:45:59] rumors about the creator, Sam Levinson, who we do not like just.
[00:46:04] Yep.
[00:46:05] For the record, um, that it was like alleging that him and Zendaya have beef and that like
[00:46:13] maybe she's to blame for Euphoria being delayed, even though it had been reported that it was
[00:46:18] Levinson rewriting the script.
[00:46:20] Um, and a source said that it was all about her.
[00:46:23] Everyone wanted to make it about Sam, but it was all her.
[00:46:26] And then this week Zendaya did an interview and she said, I will say I have been off for
[00:46:34] a couple of years.
[00:46:34] So not delayed because of my schedule.
[00:46:36] I've been open just waiting.
[00:46:38] Um, because like, yes, Dune part two and challengers came out in 2024, but those are both filmed
[00:46:45] back in 2022.
[00:46:47] So like she's been available and she was like, Oh, vanity fair.
[00:46:53] Let me just clear this up really quick.
[00:46:56] Oh my God.
[00:46:58] She said she hasn't been on a set in like two years, almost feeling, and she feels rusty
[00:47:02] and wonders if she can even do this anymore.
[00:47:05] Yep.
[00:47:05] So crazy, but Euphoria is on track to start filming in January.
[00:47:09] So we'll see about that.
[00:47:09] Which is crazy because I saw a thing that it was canceled.
[00:47:13] When?
[00:47:15] No, I think you're right.
[00:47:16] It's just, I saw somewhere that Euphoria is canceled, but I, I don't know why.
[00:47:21] I think people just, I think at a certain point people felt like,
[00:47:26] Oh yeah.
[00:47:27] Okay.
[00:47:27] It was like a day ago.
[00:47:29] Yeah.
[00:47:29] Like, like people felt like it wasn't going to be able to come back because of like various
[00:47:33] issues with Sam Levinson versus, and as well as like, yeah, Zendaya's schedule, Sydney
[00:47:38] Sweeney's schedule, all of that.
[00:47:41] Um, as well as the death of, um, I think Angus Cloud was his name.
[00:47:46] Who's the main character.
[00:47:48] Although like anyone who thought Angus was going to be in, in season three, he, come on.
[00:47:56] I felt it was pretty obvious.
[00:47:58] He wasn't going to be coming back, but maybe he was.
[00:48:00] And now he can't, I don't know.
[00:48:02] Um, oh my God.
[00:48:04] The final, the final season of season two, Sasha was crazy.
[00:48:08] Really?
[00:48:09] Like insane.
[00:48:11] Um, I actually, I think you should watch Euphoria.
[00:48:12] It's really.
[00:48:13] I know I should.
[00:48:14] I really should.
[00:48:15] Um, but yeah, so I just like any moment of Zendaya being kind of sassy with the press
[00:48:19] and like fighting back against, like, I feel like she gets a lot of allegations for
[00:48:23] being like a diva or like asking too much.
[00:48:27] I feel like there's really no evidence of that.
[00:48:31] Again, I think that's just how they kind of talk about women and especially black women
[00:48:35] when they don't agree with them.
[00:48:38] A hundred percent.
[00:48:39] So at least that's how I feel.
[00:48:41] So that's how I feel too.
[00:48:43] I mean, I'm all for this stuff.
[00:48:45] Uh, that's why I like to bring it up.
[00:48:47] Mm.
[00:48:49] Um, but yeah.
[00:48:52] Yes.
[00:48:53] Anyway, I don't want to.
[00:48:55] No, I think we can go to anonymous.
[00:48:57] The other stuff, the Kim Kardashian one is going to piss me off.
[00:49:00] So the Kim Kardashian one is kind of crazy, but okay.
[00:49:04] I want to talk about Chanel, Maya Banks.
[00:49:06] Oh, okay.
[00:49:06] Yes.
[00:49:07] Because this is insane to me.
[00:49:10] Like this has been going on for two weeks and I had never even heard of it.
[00:49:14] Yeah.
[00:49:14] And so Chanel, Maya Banks is an actress and she has been missing for two weeks.
[00:49:22] Her family has not heard from her.
[00:49:25] The authorities.
[00:49:27] She was on Gossip Girl.
[00:49:27] She was on Gossip Girl for like three episodes.
[00:49:30] Oh, okay.
[00:49:30] And then she was also in, I think the show Blue Bloods.
[00:49:34] Got it.
[00:49:35] Is maybe your people would mainly know it.
[00:49:37] Yeah.
[00:49:37] But so her, like, her family hasn't heard from her.
[00:49:41] The police tried to do wellness checks and couldn't find her and like couldn't make contact
[00:49:45] with her.
[00:49:46] Her car is at the house.
[00:49:47] Like her, all of her stuff is at the house, but she's just missing.
[00:49:52] Mm-hmm.
[00:49:53] And then her family is, the only items they haven't, sorry, the only items that they couldn't
[00:49:58] find were her phone and her laptop.
[00:50:00] Like even her dog is still at home.
[00:50:02] Wow.
[00:50:03] And her family is saying that her husband is like tearing down posters that are like, have
[00:50:14] you seen this woman and won't help find her?
[00:50:16] So I just wanted to kind of like, I guess, amplify the message.
[00:50:22] If anyone's in the LA area, like keep your eye out.
[00:50:26] And I am worried.
[00:50:32] Yeah, I think it's just like really stressful because the fact that her husband doesn't want
[00:50:40] to help is crazy as hell.
[00:50:43] Like he says, oh, I haven't seen or heard from her since November 7th, but like not helping
[00:50:48] to.
[00:50:49] Oh, what he continues to say is she does not want to be found and she will reach out
[00:50:53] when she's ready.
[00:50:55] Yep.
[00:50:55] So I'm just like, this is sketchy.
[00:50:57] This is freaking me out.
[00:51:00] Um, just amplify the message.
[00:51:04] If people are in the area and they happen to see her, like just like, yes, refresh yourself
[00:51:08] on what.
[00:51:10] I should all my banks looks like and they keep your eyes peeled.
[00:51:15] Please do.
[00:51:16] Because it's crazy.
[00:51:19] Oh, my God.
[00:51:20] Okay.
[00:51:21] Now we can do anonymous.
[00:51:22] Yes.
[00:51:23] Sorry.
[00:51:23] Sorry to know.
[00:51:24] Like a bummer note.
[00:51:25] But I just want.
[00:51:26] Listen, I was like, how is this?
[00:51:29] I heard about this and it's been going on for two weeks.
[00:51:32] Like that made me feel like a chill.
[00:51:35] Yeah.
[00:51:36] That's what I'm saying.
[00:51:37] It's just listen.
[00:51:38] The part of mess magnets is that like we also talk about real shit.
[00:51:42] Isn't just like frou, frou, happy, happy.
[00:51:45] Yeah.
[00:51:46] Unfortunately.
[00:51:46] Here we are.
[00:51:47] Um, okay.
[00:51:49] Anonymous.
[00:51:50] So our messenger says, hi, Kirsten and Sasha.
[00:51:53] I'm a huge messenger and I want your opinion on a holiday thing that's causing drama.
[00:51:57] I just want to say, I love this.
[00:52:00] If people have like holiday concerns and you want to know our perspective, please.
[00:52:04] I beg, please send it in.
[00:52:05] Put it in the form mess magnets.com.
[00:52:07] Okay.
[00:52:08] And listen, we are going to go live.
[00:52:09] Oops.
[00:52:09] All anonymous.
[00:52:10] Well, if we get anonymous, we do not have enough to put together the show.
[00:52:16] So everyone, please send us your mess.
[00:52:19] We need it.
[00:52:21] Okay.
[00:52:21] Our messenger says, uh, my wife is from a large mixed family where there are six siblings
[00:52:28] total.
[00:52:29] They describe it as a yours, mine and ours situation.
[00:52:33] Um, so the kids live together under one roof for like five years before the oldest kids
[00:52:39] started moving out and going to college, et cetera.
[00:52:42] But like, it's a very close family.
[00:52:44] They're all obviously like getting along.
[00:52:46] Yeah.
[00:52:47] When our messenger's wife was in middle school, the friend of an older sibling who we're going
[00:52:53] to call James, the friend ended up moving in with the family.
[00:52:56] It wasn't an official adoption or a foster situation, but it was basically like he wasn't
[00:53:02] safe where he lived.
[00:53:04] And, uh, our messengers in-laws were like moving with us, like one more kid ain't going
[00:53:08] to make a difference to us.
[00:53:11] And so James ended up living with the three youngest kids for about four years in the family home
[00:53:17] has been on family trips.
[00:53:20] The in-laws threw him graduation parties for high school and college.
[00:53:23] He spends holidays with them, the whole nine yards.
[00:53:26] He's part of the family.
[00:53:27] Yeah.
[00:53:27] Yeah.
[00:53:28] When our messenger started dating their wife, James was introduced as my big brother, James.
[00:53:34] And our messenger assumed that he was like twin brother to his best friend who is our
[00:53:39] messenger's wife's half brother.
[00:53:40] Okay.
[00:53:41] Yeah.
[00:53:41] But then someone filled our messenger in on the story.
[00:53:44] Okay.
[00:53:45] So that's, that's the situation.
[00:53:46] And now we get the drama.
[00:53:48] Okay.
[00:53:48] Okay.
[00:53:49] So obviously this is a huge family and it is not practical or realistic to expect everybody
[00:53:55] to buy gifts for everybody for the holidays.
[00:53:58] It's too many people.
[00:54:02] So like what, what a lot of families do with a big, uh, family like this is they do a drawing
[00:54:08] where everybody like draws it.
[00:54:10] Yeah.
[00:54:10] Next year.
[00:54:11] Um, this family doesn't do a draw.
[00:54:14] They just do a rotation of the families.
[00:54:16] Oh, so like this year, our messenger's family is giving to the oldest sister's family.
[00:54:21] The next it'll be to the next oldest and so on and so forth.
[00:54:25] That makes sense.
[00:54:25] And it just carries on, which no problem.
[00:54:28] Um, the rotation came along well before our messenger joined the family, but here's the
[00:54:34] mess.
[00:54:35] James is not on the rotation.
[00:54:38] Um, every year our messenger's mother-in-law assigns someone in the family to give James a
[00:54:45] gift in addition to their person on the rotation and assigns James a person to give a gift to.
[00:54:54] What's going on?
[00:54:55] Yeah.
[00:54:56] And so you might be wondering why the extra work to do two rotations?
[00:54:59] Why not just put James on the rotation?
[00:55:02] And it is because the oldest sister in the family says, no, I don't want him on it.
[00:55:06] That's gross.
[00:55:07] Okay.
[00:55:08] And so in a recent text, this older sister said, I really like James and consider him
[00:55:13] a great friend who I hold in high regard and would go over the top for.
[00:55:17] However, he is not my brother.
[00:55:18] He does not have my mom or dad as a parent and I've never lived with him.
[00:55:22] I don't want to get a present for him and have an actual sibling miss out on getting a
[00:55:26] gift from me.
[00:55:27] He also doesn't know me or my family very well.
[00:55:29] So I feel like a gift from him wouldn't be as meaningful for my kids.
[00:55:35] So that text came in after a reminder was texted out about this year's assignments.
[00:55:42] And the mother-in-law followed up with the James assignments.
[00:55:47] Most years, some family member forgets or wants to rehash why there are two rotations.
[00:55:53] And it researches.
[00:55:54] Is it in front of James?
[00:55:56] I don't think it's in front of James.
[00:55:58] Oh, thank goodness.
[00:55:58] I hope it's not in front of James.
[00:56:00] Oh my God.
[00:56:00] Oh my God.
[00:56:00] And so this oldest sister has like stood on, this is like her hill to die on.
[00:56:05] She will not let James be in the regular rotation of gifts.
[00:56:08] This might put her out of the rotation.
[00:56:11] Honestly.
[00:56:12] Like just switch her and James.
[00:56:13] Someone else can be assigned to her.
[00:56:15] Yeah.
[00:56:17] And so our messenger says, you know, I'm the wife of the youngest daughter.
[00:56:22] I don't have any skin in the game.
[00:56:24] We're not going to say anything, but this is weird, right?
[00:56:27] Hell yeah.
[00:56:28] Because the oldest sister is the only person not on the James rotation.
[00:56:32] Every other person has opted in to give him a gift.
[00:56:35] Even the other siblings who never lived with him.
[00:56:39] No one is missing out on getting a gift.
[00:56:41] It isn't like James knows her any less than anyone who doesn't live near her or is a similar age.
[00:56:47] And I'm sure his gifts would be just as meaningful as whatever, like we're going to buy for them.
[00:56:52] So what do we think?
[00:56:53] That's what our messenger has to say.
[00:56:55] Oh, first of all, y'all are great for even thinking this way.
[00:57:00] Because, you know, sometimes people get sucked in with the family and it becomes like, oh, this is how it's always been.
[00:57:06] I think older sister, I bet you has some like weird resentment.
[00:57:09] Is she the oldest or just older?
[00:57:12] She's the oldest sister.
[00:57:15] So we don't know if maybe there's a brother older or not, but she's like there.
[00:57:19] One of the oldest, oldest.
[00:57:21] Because she never lived with James in the house.
[00:57:23] Yeah.
[00:57:24] I'm just thinking about, you know, how older siblings get very weird about this kind of stuff.
[00:57:30] I feel like older siblings are very much like, this is how my family needs to be.
[00:57:34] I am, you know, mom in surrogate mom in a lot of ways.
[00:57:38] Well, yeah, I don't know the family.
[00:57:40] I'm just saying it's kind of known that oldest siblings, especially daughters, are interesting.
[00:57:50] Not in a bad way.
[00:57:51] It's just they have a lot of stuff put on them.
[00:57:52] Family dynamics are weird.
[00:57:54] And the result of family dynamics is that sometimes people are kind of weird.
[00:57:58] And all families have like weird dynamics.
[00:58:03] But I think it's crazy.
[00:58:04] Like it's a Christmas gift.
[00:58:07] It's not that deep.
[00:58:08] It was never that serious.
[00:58:10] But then she should be out of the rotation, right?
[00:58:12] Like why are we othering someone that already has had issues growing up?
[00:58:18] Like obviously if it's a part of the family, then let's actually make people part of the family.
[00:58:22] This is why it really bothers me when folks like bring children in to the family, but then not.
[00:58:31] Well, that's the thing.
[00:58:33] I'm like, why does this one sister get to make it an opt-in situation?
[00:58:37] If I was like the mom of that child, I'd be like noted.
[00:58:41] We understand your concern too bad.
[00:58:44] This is our family and we have a rotation.
[00:58:46] Or be like, we'll take you out the rotation.
[00:58:50] Yeah.
[00:58:51] So that's a bummer.
[00:58:52] It's just like, it's really unfortunate.
[00:58:53] I'm sure James maybe understands and like it is what it is.
[00:58:57] But it's just, it's so unfortunate that this is happening for James.
[00:59:03] But yeah, you are 100% correct that this is like weird.
[00:59:07] Weird.
[00:59:08] And it's unfortunate when folks let their whatever trauma, prejudice, I don't know.
[00:59:13] I don't care.
[00:59:14] Like into like something as sweet as like Christmas gifts.
[00:59:19] Like a beautiful family and it's just gifts.
[00:59:24] Don't base me on.
[00:59:25] Like my mom was very much one to like kind of pick up strays or like she would hear like if one of our friends in high school was being left like alone for an extended period of time.
[00:59:36] She'd be like, oh no, they're going to come stay with us until their parents get home.
[00:59:39] Yeah.
[00:59:41] Just would want to make sure to take care of people.
[00:59:43] And so I feel like I also feel that way where I would want to make sure people are taken care of.
[00:59:48] And so I would be like, yeah, put them in the crib.
[00:59:50] Who cares?
[00:59:51] Yep.
[00:59:52] Agreed.
[00:59:53] It's just like such a silly thing.
[00:59:56] To not, I don't know, to not make happen.
[01:00:00] Like very stupid.
[01:00:02] I agree.
[01:00:03] But it is great mess.
[01:00:05] And thank you to our messenger for submitting this.
[01:00:07] Shout out to James.
[01:00:08] He deserves a good gift this year.
[01:00:11] Yes.
[01:00:11] Whoever, make sure whoever has James gets him like a really good gift.
[01:00:18] Yeah.
[01:00:18] Like what's James into, you know, so we can help.
[01:00:21] Gift giving is my love language.
[01:00:23] So.
[01:00:24] Oh, I'm going to have to get you to help figure out what to get for people.
[01:00:27] Oh my God.
[01:00:28] I literally love giving gifts.
[01:00:30] I like love doing it.
[01:00:32] And when I can think of like a good thing, I'm good at it.
[01:00:36] Oh, fair.
[01:00:36] Yeah.
[01:00:37] But sometimes I struggle with coming up with ideas.
[01:00:40] Yeah.
[01:00:40] For me, I don't know why.
[01:00:42] And this must be some weird procrastination kink.
[01:00:45] I don't know.
[01:00:46] But like, I'll be like, oh yeah, I have to get like a really good gift for, you know,
[01:00:51] whoever, my loved ones.
[01:00:52] And I'll like come up against a wall.
[01:00:55] Like it's just not hitting me, not hitting me, not hitting me.
[01:00:57] Then all of a sudden, one or two weeks before the perfect gift shows up in the brain.
[01:01:02] Yeah.
[01:01:03] I would say that's at least somewhat how I am as well.
[01:01:06] So that's good to know.
[01:01:08] I just got to wait for the right ideas to show up in my brain.
[01:01:11] But that's it.
[01:01:12] We did another episode of Mess Magnets.
[01:01:16] Another great job for both of us.
[01:01:19] And yes, you too, to the cat who's screaming.
[01:01:22] We agreed.
[01:01:25] But we did it.
[01:01:27] Sasha, for the people that want to hear more from you, where can they find you?
[01:01:31] As always, I am talking Dancing with the Stars over on the Rob has a podcast YouTube channel
[01:01:38] or the We Know Reality TV feed.

[01:01:43] We had Ali Lasharon to talk all the mess, all the fun.
[01:01:47] And you need to check it out.
[01:01:50] Okay?
[01:01:50] Because 500th episode, where?
[01:01:53] That's all I'll say.
[01:01:55] But again, overall, still a fun show.
[01:01:58] Vote for Chandler.
[01:01:59] Everyone, please.
[01:02:00] Necessarily.
[01:02:01] Needed.
[01:02:02] And Mike Bloom and I are talking to your favorite reality TV stars about their favorite scripted shows.
[01:02:09] And we had Franny and Jason read on to talk Agatha all along, which truly was such a fun time.
[01:02:17] I loved it.
[01:02:18] So would recommend for everyone to check out on the We Know Scripted TV YouTube page or the feed.
[01:02:26] So wherever you get your pod.
[01:02:28] So listen, get excited.
[01:02:29] It was a fun time.
[01:02:30] And I was also a guest on the 90 Day Fiance pod this week.
[01:02:36] So we just like got deep, I feel, this week about patriarchy and the male gaze and all of those things.
[01:02:44] So check all of that out.
[01:02:46] And listen, if you want Blue Sky, find me on Blue Sky.
[01:02:49] Sasha J04.
[01:02:51] Because I have let go of fun size.
[01:02:53] We have grown up somehow.
[01:02:56] So, yes.

[01:03:17] Well, we'll be back next week with more mess.
[01:03:20] So thank you everyone for listening.
[01:03:22] Love you.
[01:03:23] Bye.
[01:03:24] Bye.
[01:03:26] Bye.
