[00:00:27] Ich bin Kirsten. Und das ist Mess Magnets. Wir sind zurück, Baby! Consecutive weeks. Wir sind ein paar Jahre altes. Wir sind ein paar Jahre altes. Wir sind ein paar Jahre altes.
[00:00:57] Gott. Sorry to the messengers, but you know you love us. Because we're kooky. Wir sind ein paar Jahre altes. Und für die record, wir sind auf den Rob Has a Podcast YouTube. Yes. Because we got some visual aids. Back to back. Back to back. Back to back. Back to back. But it's two out of three. Yes. Ain't bad. So yeah, like help us out on YouTube. Like give us comments.
[00:01:26] Listen, hit the like button. Do a little bit of all of that. Smash that subscribe button. Like this video for more content. Oh, gosh. Listen, let me live my YouTuber dreams. Okay. For five seconds. Every time we go to like a new hotel room, Karthik always jokes, he's like, oh, do the YouTuber intro. Mind you, no, no one's recording anything.
[00:01:55] But I was like, hey guys, welcome to my hotel room. Next time we're together, we'll film one for TikTok or something. Imagine. Yeah. Travel with me from San Francisco to New York. Okay. That's actually really cute. Oh my gosh.
[00:02:19] Um, I will, I and Sasha will also be in the comments chatting back to you. If you want direct feedback from us, that's like the quickest way to get it is to be in the YouTube comments. Um, okay. Before we get into this, can I just tell you, I don't know why my Facebook is open on the other tab. And I just saw the most unhinged thing. Yes.
[00:02:44] Like it's like, I just need to be prepare you that I've seen the craziest Facebook post shared on my, my page. Please. So just for the record, they did elect a new Pope today. Yes. I've been locked in. American Pope. Yeah. And, but he lives in Peru, like, yeah, he like, he has Peru citizenship. And I mean, I saw something shared of some like very questionable behavior for him.
[00:03:13] But I mean, unless it's leaving the Catholic church, like, that's what I was gonna say. Um, anyways, he seems just though if folks wanted to know also, sorry, uh, is he's mid he's center left. So, in case you were wondering, like, it seems like on my very, preliminary research, because Kirsten, I'm we're mass magnets IRL. Literally. Because, because I was at Pilates before we recorded.
[00:03:41] And my Pilates teacher, a teacher was like, Oh, anyone care that you know that this hat, like the Pope. So I said, wait. Do you guys know that? And I just started listing all this stuff about him. And they're just like, what? How do you know someone? And they're like, Oh, so you're Catholic. I was like, No, I'm Jewish. I just care about. They're like, Oh, you're Catholic. Uh, no. Um, okay. So this is the post that just came up. And I just need to share it because it is the most.
[00:04:10] Unhinged thing I've maybe ever seen in my life. It says, wake up. The numbers don't lie. You wanted a sign. You got one. The new Pope Leo the 14th was just elected. Sounds harmless, right? Look deeper. Hope Leo the 14th. Prevost Pontifex Maximus Holiness Vicarius. That's his name and title plain and official. Now apply the simple numerology. A equals one to Z equals 26. Add the letters together. The total is 666.
[00:04:40] The mark of the beast. The calculated symbol of the Antichrist. Antichrist. This isn't a coincidence. This is a warning. Oh my God. I mean, I also think this is fake. Like, I don't think this is correct. The. This is so funny. I'm sorry. Meanwhile, like again, because I live in California Bay Area, right? Uh, people were just like stress the F out like older women
[00:05:10] because I go to Pilates, like usually during the afternoon. So older women, right? Kirsten, when I say stress, they were like, can't believe they, they picked an American. What happened to the Filipino guy? Right? Like, so I was like, oh, well, it turns out this guy, like, isn't necessarily a fan of the administration. That's how our conversation started. So they're like, oh, thank God. Like, just like older white women. Oh, thank God. And then one of them goes, yeah, because he killed. Because one of them killed Francis.
[00:05:41] I'm excited. I listen. Do you think JD events are going to go for this one to keep JD events away from everything? Because what Chappelle talked about, right? Like we talked about how killed the Pope, went to India and then Kashmir. The attack happened. I what we forgot was that he also broke the national championship trophy. And that was a first. So it just keeps progressively getting worse and worse.
[00:06:10] Put him in a bubble. What's the tea? You know what I mean? Keep him out of the group chats. Keep him out of everywhere. Anyway, now to talk about our actual. Yes. Today, because for the. The. Mm hmm. The fourth consecutive Met Gala. Is it really? We're here to talk about it because we talked about all of them since 2022. Oh, my gosh.
[00:06:40] Yeah. Isn't it third? Well, no, because we talked about it in 2022, 2023, 2024. And now 2025. At least I think we talked about it in 2022. Listen, someone like historian, mess magnet historian. I'm sure we have actually, because it feels like because of mess magnets, I'm way more clued in. About me. About the Met Gala. 100%. Yeah.
[00:07:09] Anyway, we'll see. Oh, my God. Well, it's and it's funny because, again, like we are quite literally just like everyone else on the Internet critiquing these high fashion looks, though. We are. Yeah, obviously. Well, you literally look like a model. So. But me looking like an egg. Your whole face. So shut up. Anyway, it literally is giving. And the way it was supposed to be clean girl makeup.
[00:07:38] And I have like a full. It started very clean girl and it ended dramatic. I'm really trying to become clean girl. Like I only have. No, that's not even true. But I only have face. So I can see it on it that I have other things. But I also think the clean girl aesthetic is part of fascism. So it's better to not. It's all like trad wife aesthetic. I feel. Anyway, what is wrong with us?
[00:08:08] So the point is, we're going to be talking about our fourth allegedly allegedly Met Gala. And listen, this felt really exciting because we've talked about this before when it got announced that the Met Gala. The theme was super fine tailoring black style. And then the exhibit was black dandyism, which was really interesting.
[00:08:36] And I feel like folks could really play with this and do a lot. Hmm. Don't know what happened. I think like just like the concept of black dandyism is so fun and broad. Like there's a lot that could have been done. Correct. And I think people ultimately played it safe. I don't know why.
[00:09:00] But like from the second this was all announced, I was like, someone is going to do a play on like what Will Smith's like school uniform from the Fresh Prince where he would wear the blazer inside out with like the like I was just like, I don't know why. I just thought someone would do something in that vein. And maybe I'm off the no, but it didn't really happen. You said that to me. There is a Twitter user. Sorry, I meant to pull this up before.
[00:09:27] So I want to shout them out because they gave a really detailed explanation. Yes. So at French French Mar Ebro is their name or is there at sign? Sorry. And it says, you know, let's talk about the whole thing. And there's pictures. And one of the pictures was and maybe I can share the screen really quickly from their tweet.
[00:09:54] But part of so they were just sharing like what they think would work and why. So this person is what it reminded me. Oh, my God. I was going to add to stage where see that this picture reminds me of that aesthetic. Like what you were talking about. Where it says, right? The Southern elegance meets Paris. We're the first black designer to show at Paris Fashion Week. Bought black culture to the runway and with humor, bold, colorful designs.
[00:10:24] Celebrating back heritage redefined elegance. So to me, yeah, it's like that with the fresh prince or Hillary. Right. Like her style as well. So this is like Patrick Kelly's design is what I think you're trying to say. A hundred percent. I bookmarked this because I was like, oh, wait. Thank you. I definitely know what this is. God bless. Yeah. So would recommend like reading this or like for folks to read this whole thing.
[00:10:48] It's really fascinating with pictures on how and why all of this came up. And really, we it would be not to talk about all of this, especially black dandyism without talking about Andre Leon Talley, who, of course, is a fashion editor. Most powerful voices in fashion period, not just black voices. And he was Vogue's former creative director. And he, you know, has brought all of this here. Yeah.
[00:11:18] Yeah. And he passed in 2022. And so this Met Gala is quite literally inspired by him and to honor him, which is exciting that they actually were able to. Yeah. Do that. Although like, can we talk about Anna Wintour for a second? Oh, because like I listen, I get it. She's an icon.
[00:11:47] She has been, you know, at the head of the fashion and like an American European context in a very long time for a very long time. I feel that we have not seen Anna Wintour in public in a look that is not hideous in years. Or am I wrong? It's boring if, if not hideous. Right? Like, it's just like a little bit boring where I was like, what are we doing here? I just don't get it. Her look was terrible.
[00:12:18] I mean, I'm trying to find the specific picture of a comment to make us staring her down. Oh my gosh. Yeah. I just, it's called like literally tailored for you. Nope. And she's like wearing this long jacket that is too long and looks also wrinkled and doesn't fit her. It just looks like a slip. Like that's the problem.
[00:12:45] But the dress looks like a slip, but then like the jacket that she's wearing is like, doesn't fit and it looks weird. And like, sometimes people do the like wearing your jacket as a cape thing and it looks okay. And sometimes it is not okay. But yeah. And so this picture is taking me out. This is not her full outfit. I will pull it that up in a second, but I just, I need folks to see this.
[00:13:09] So it's Coleman Domingo and Lewis Hamilton, who right are the coach. Well, Coleman Domingo was a coach there, but Lewis Hamilton was also on. And they're just like, girl, this way you showed up. Yeah. I mean, I guess it's her thing. She never really dresses to theme. Yeah. And maybe that's her thing. Um, but we'll talk about him later, but there's one person who definitely wasn't on theme, but looked fire.
[00:13:39] So we'll talk about, um, well, but I also like, right. Yeah. Like once again, the side eye. Yeah. When we get to that one, we can talk about it, but I actually don't 100% agree with you on it being on theme. So we can, we can get into it. Um, but yeah, so also a little bit more of the history. Sorry of black, um, dandyism is, um, a big piece. There were two more pieces I wanted to talk about first is, uh, Josephine Baker as well,
[00:14:09] who is a civil 1920s, uh, performer, civil rights activist and spy and French Renaissance. And she is like known as a, um, global icon for her bold fashion choices. So she was like a big part of why a lot of women dressed, uh, dress certain ways. Like, uh, Meg the stallion specifically tried to, um, I think embody her, uh, Hayley Bieber
[00:14:38] technically tried. I believe. Yeah. But what Hayley Bieber was giving was Nicole Franzel's final three outfit in big brother 22. Worse. So, um, yeah. And she's like, no, like to wear suits, challenge gender norms, which is why I think folks thought a lot of women would be dressed in, um, male, like fat in suits like that. But anyway, the whole point is like, she takes feminine form, but like does it in her own way. So she is like a big part of this.
[00:15:05] And then this is the last thing I wanted to bring up is, um, they talk about the tailored for you, but it being like fun like this, where, what would it have looked like to take that retro, um, suits are like her own Renaissance, but then to kind of sprinkle in the individuality and look how cool this looks. Yeah. Just like the tailored for you with like, right. The Met Gala twist. Yeah. Cause again, it's the Met Gala.
[00:15:35] It's like the night of fashion, um, every year. And yet people play scared and you don't have to be scared. You can just have fun. Exactly. And for our, um, audio listeners, sorry. Uh, I have a picture of those, like the typical pinstripe suits that you think of, but they're, um, cinched at the middle and have like ginormous shoulder pads. So it's giving like a literal hourglass.
[00:16:05] Um, but again, it looks so fancy and, and exciting and silly and, uh, fun and creative, or maybe not silly, but it feels creative and iconic. So this is the kind of stuff I wish more people showed up, um, with like the glamour, but with like a Met Gala twist. So wanted to, yeah, just give a little bit of background on what, at least my, like, yeah, what I was like researching on. So should we, should we start with the looks? Let's get into it.
[00:16:34] We're so yeah, we are, this is going to be more of a video podcast. Go to the YouTube. Rob has a website dot not no youtube.com slash raw at Rob has a podcast. Yes. Um, because we're sharing screen and we are going through all of the looks or like as many looks until we get like bored or have talked about all the most important ones. Uh, and that's really the core of this whole episode is yeah. Ella. Yes.
[00:17:03] So we hope and like, let us know in the comments, like what are your thoughts? You know, because it's all so subjective, which is why this is exciting. So who was your favorites? Let us know. Who did you hate? Let us know. I think we all hated the same too, but you know, who knows? Um, but with that, let's, let's start with Rihanna, of course. Yeah. I'm surprised she's pregnant. Is she ever not? At this point, I like, I don't remember Rihanna being out, not pregnant.
[00:17:31] She, because when she's not pregnant, she's home getting pregnant. Is that wrong? Get off her. I mean, she, it's like, she wants him there. Like she wants the, so like happy for her, but like, she will do literally anything to not give us another album. And I'm. Piss. Correct. It's not coming. Just, just buy the makeup. Whereas Chappelle calls her Mary Kay charlatan.
[00:17:56] Oh, and the red carpet was, uh, was blue, uh, with dandelions, obviously. And, um, me thinks they could have done more again. But. Yeah. I think. I guess. They could have done more, but I feel like we've also seen them do less. So I'll just take it. Fair. And, and I like this color of blue, like it's Navy. Yeah. It's like almost like a little lighter than a Navy. Yeah. Yeah. In that family for sure.
[00:18:25] Um, and I feel like it does. The looks do pop on. Yes. Yes. On the carpet. So maybe they thought we'd get a lot of blacks and whatever, which is why they did that color. Um, but yeah, so I think Rihanna's photographs better than it looks in videos. I don't like the back of Rihanna's. Um, yeah, I wouldn't like Rihanna is like one of the. To look at for the Met Gala. So I think that we have the bar set higher for her than we would for other people.
[00:18:54] But again, she is extremely pregnant. Yeah. And, and it looks fire still, but, and I will say off of my criteria of being playful, this gives that. Yeah. Cause it feels like almost, Oh, I'm putting, putting on this big sweater, this big pin striped suit. And it's like at my back. So yeah. I don't know. I do. And I like the collar with like the kind of tie situation. The hat is great.
[00:19:24] Yes. Makeup could have been better too. The blushes. A lot. The blushes. Like, and I'm speaking as a blush apologist. But I mean, same. It is. I don't like the placement. People have moved back to putting blush on the apples of their cheeks. And I actually just think higher blush. Placement. Like 99% of people. Mm hmm. But this is Fenty queen. So what do we know?
[00:19:50] Listen, well, honestly, and let's boycott Fenty because maybe if she loses some money, she'll give us an album. Imagine. Enough is enough. Me as I'm wearing Fenty highlighter. No more. When that one's out, you'll buy a rare beauty one and. Oh my God. Imagine. But yeah. So that's Rihanna's look. Oh, and the shoes are really interesting too. But again, the black gets a little bit lost. The shoes are cute. Yeah. It's like a play on like what I would call like a granny. Yes.
[00:20:20] Or like the black Harlem again. Those shoes that they used to wear. Um, with the pinstripes. Uh, Cardi B is Burberry, right? Yeah. Oh, they don't even say it. But I remember this is Burberry, I believe. Fuck. Ah, she looks amazing. You can't tell me nothing for Cardi B. No, she is so stunning.
[00:20:44] Like everything is very well tailored to like it fits and looks good. Um, it's dramatic. It's bright. Like I love the hair with it. Like. Yeah. The hair works really well too. I feel like the waist is giving everything that we need. I like the shoulder pads. The boobs I think could be less, but it's Cardi B. So I don't think so.
[00:21:11] This is like as little cleavage as we will ever see from Cardi B. So like, I'll take it. And like, she's paid a lot for that body. So like, what am I did? Who? If I would be naked if I spent that much. So I get it. Uh, but yeah, I just, I really enjoy it. And listen, Cardi B is always one to look at when it comes to fashion. Met Gala looks and it feels simple, but in the best way, because I think it's almost monochromatic. It's yeah. The cut is really.
[00:21:40] Like clutch. And then the details are really on like, you can see at her wrists and on the neckline, like that ruffle kind of flows into the textured fabric of the rest of the, the guard. Like it really all is just very cohesive, even though there's like a couple of little things, which is exactly what you want, obviously. Big agree. So yeah, just a really good. Uh, I, again, one of my favorite looks Cardi B's.
[00:22:11] I, I'd be hard pressed to not be obsessed with. Then there is Andre 3000 who showed up wearing a piano because he did release, I believe his music that day. Um, so he's promoting his album, uh, which I really do it again. And if we're going to do this, let's really do this shit. And he, uh, spoke about how this was an ode to black musicians and their, uh, impact on history,
[00:22:40] which again, this is what I need men to do for the bar to not be in hell. Oh, it's not a black tuxedo. Like already he stepped over the bar and it's fun and whimsical. And like, that's what I like about the Maccala is killing me. It's like what, but then the thing is, is like, you know, that's not a real trash bag. Like that's like a $3,000 bag that's made to look like it's a trash bag.
[00:23:08] This is the full, and he's a cohost. So he really knew what he was doing. I, it's like all these things that I would normally hate. Like the hat that has him looking like a pencil eraser, but then like when it comes together, it's like, this is so fun. And yeah, this to me is like whimsical on 10. And it actually fitted really well. Cause when his hand is up, you actually see his arm definition and I'm a sucker for it.
[00:23:38] And that's very important. Yeah. Which is why again, the tailoring is a big part of this. And some people showed up without a good tailor. And it goes to show that like, you can have a tailored look. That's not just a suit or suit wear. Like there's more to it and more options. And then it can open your eyes a little bit. Yeah. And take risks. If it, if you took the risk and it flopped, I would allow it. As opposed to just like being boring.
[00:24:07] It's better to take a risk and flop than to not take a risk. And you probably will flop anyway. Exactly. And then there's Chapel Row. Here's the thing. Freddie Mercury is here. I, so Chapel Row was like sponsored by eBay. Oh. To be here, I guess. Um, and like, if this fit her, I could see it being something. Yeah. Like we know what I mean. You know what I mean?
[00:24:37] The super fine tailoring piece. But like, it doesn't fit on her. I think hot pink, that much hot pink on a redhead is crazy word. Yes. There's a lot of clashing. Yeah. I feel like they were preying on her downfall here because she, I've seen her wear better looks to late night shows. I see the thing is, I felt like somewhere this, this is like a midwesterner going to the Met Gala, which she is.
[00:25:07] That's what this was giving. Yeah. But like, did you see, I think, I can't remember which Jimmy, if it was Jimmy Kimmel or Jimmy Fallon, but she performed in like the white feather, like angel look with like the crazy long. Like that was a better, like, it obviously wouldn't be on theme for this Met Gala, but like that was a better look than this. I do think that, and, and it's, it's the idea is boring, right? It's pink pony club, obviously, but like, okay.
[00:25:37] I just feel like she's better than this. Yeah. I think that she makes so much, she takes so many risks and she does deserve better. Yeah. I think she has someone who's like newer to the industry and a first time Met Gala attendee just probably got swept up in someone else's vision, which is really unfortunate. Yeah. And I think because, um, I think that, uh, her, she has one with a jacket, which is, which I think is more grand.
[00:26:05] So you can at least make an excuse for it. But, uh, I think she's going for like support, protect the dolls, right? Like for trans people, which is great. It's just there's a way. And I don't know. I don't know. Do do it in colors of the trans leg then. Oh yeah. Like what are we doing? Yeah, exactly. It's just the colors for me is what's throwing it off. The colors along with like the ill fit. Yeah. I didn't even think about the fit. You're right.
[00:26:36] Yeah. It's just, if you're on a, and who the hell is her team? How do you not fix her? Yeah. Her bell bottom. Crazy. I swear, I swear to God, they were praying on her down. Bring in Doji's, Doji's vibes. Get Doji to get the team together. Come on. And listen, people are mad about Doji. Y'all don't know divas. All like, stop it. Like, uh, Doji.
[00:27:06] Clearly someone should have communicated her to more, her more of like what the Met Gala and like, that is like, and I thought they had made different choices. Yeah. Cause I think she's mad that people saw it before she got there. And so like her team should have not put her in that situation. Yeah. And if folks don't know, Doji was the, maybe cause maybe you saw a person that was hidden in a white cardboard box almost.
[00:27:35] And there was like umbrellas everywhere. And people are like, Oh, this look, it's going to be mad. Can't wait. Right. Like it was giving like old school Zendaya, Lady Gaga, right. Met Gala vibes. And then this is what Doji wore. Uh, I will say, I think I'm personally, uh, Louis Vuitton has flopped this whole Met Gala. Uh, and I don't know if it's because Pharrell was part of it. I don't know. Get him away from fashion.
[00:28:03] Doji and most of these, all of these stars are so good looking that nothing really matters. Like their faces are so perfect that literally, and everything is good. And apparently, I don't know if you know this, Sabrina Carpenter said that, um, her design team. So I must say it's again, Louis Vuitton, uh, said like short people shouldn't wear pants. And I don't know if this is the same thing that happened here. I, but which makes sense. And I think a good tailored.
[00:28:34] Well, yeah, that's the whole theme is tailoring. And I feel like if there's anyone who really is more familiar with tailoring than the average person, it's a short body who needs to get pants. Thank you. Let me tell you. Let me tell you. And it's just, again, her face is literally perfect hair. Amazing. I think she has a Louis Vuitton tattoo on her face. Here's the thing. I don't hate it. And I guess like, I hate it. I at least like this was not playing it safe. Yeah.
[00:29:04] This is, this is something that's at least unique. It is tailored to perfection. It fits her perfectly. And I'm very, very pro the like bow, like the, like, the ties, um, the shorts like that, that color of that checkerboard pattern is like my personal fave. If you're looking at Louis Vuitton, like bags and stuff. Yep. So I'm like, okay, it's iconic. Yeah.
[00:29:31] Um, and like the cigar is camp as hell. Oh, so I actually really like this one. And I know. And I think that's, I think a lot of people liked it. It's just, I feel like the amount of. Yeah. Screaming. She did not. She didn't even scream out that bad at her assistance, but, um, the amount of like protection around this outfit. No, that. Yeah. You're, and you're right. That expectation, I think got raised a little bit. Um, I like the top half a lot.
[00:30:00] Um, and I understand the, the pants print. Yes. Is the one of the best Louis Vuitton prints like that. If I were, I would never buy the like LV per like that has all the top half actually of all the logos. I wouldn't buy the Louis Vuitton. That's the shorts. If you listen, if you're buying something Louis Vuitton that has the logo all over it, it had better be the trunk. Yeah. Oh yeah. Even then I just, I don't that Brown. I just, I'm not a fan. Yeah.
[00:30:29] I don't, I don't love it. I like the trigger word pattern and specifically in this color way. Yeah. Correct. Correct. But again, I just, I think she's so fun. Uh, and her face. Oh my God. And the Louis Vuitton. See blush done right. Cause the blush is over the Louis Vuitton. It's so good. Beautiful. The tone of the blush and it matches perfectly to her lips. And it's like.
[00:30:55] When you see like Dochi and a look like this with the bold lip liner. And they're like, Oh, this is why all these white women are trying to do the dark brown liner. That makes them look like they have literally an asshole in the middle of their face. Cause they're like, cause I understand wanting to try to achieve this type of look, but yeah. For everyone. It's not for everyone. Yeah. She just, she's just so cool. The thing is, Dochi is so cool. So funny. So beautiful.
[00:31:25] She has the full package 10 on 10s in every category. I love her. At least she's short like me. So can't have everything. No, I'm just kidding. She really can't have it all look at her. So this is her aesthetic anyway. So it makes sense. Why she wear. I just felt like I want more from. I love it. She's like a little boy delivering newspapers. Yeah. It makes me happy. Yeah.
[00:31:52] It's just, she's so like, like I said, her or her. She has like 10 on 10 aura. Mm hmm. And like, that's why she can sell anything to me. I was just like, Oh girl, why you wore that? And after hiding it. Um, yes. Kim Kardashian. Um, and this is. She's like, she couldn't even walk in it. She looked so funny. Like waddling like a fool.
[00:32:22] And I, we know the Vogue loves their Kardashian gender family for some reason. But. I just have to say. That. The amount of cultural appropriation that a lot of these white. Stars. Um, especially the Kardashians have made billions off of black people. To then show up. And I think Kim Kardashian's look was okay. Kylie's is even worse. Um. I think Kendall's is the worst in the. Oh, Ken. I forgot. Kendall was there.
[00:32:52] You're right. Um, but I just feel like you do so much cultural appropriation. And the one time you should. Um, you show up in like. The most. Basic. Um. Always. Right. This. The. With the long bottoms. Yes. 100%. I thought was there some sort of Michael Jackson connection with this look. You know what it looks like to me? An alligator shoe.
[00:33:22] The train. Yes. Is giving the, the, the end of that shoe. That kind of. Um. Dress shoe. Her jewels are nice, but they're giving cheapo. Like I. I think she went to India and she must've got these. The. From that market. Yes. We were scared of the market. Again. And like, and what's going on with the pearls? Like. It's just. It's bad.
[00:33:52] It's just. No, it's not bad. I just feel like I don't know what she's going for. I. When you said like it kind of looks like she herself is the alligator shoe. Yeah. Like that's at least kind of camp and kind of fun. I think I made that up. I think you're giving her too much credit. But at least like I can have that in my head. And at least not breaking something. Marilyn Monroe's or whatever again. It's not stretching another thing out. Oh my God. Less.
[00:34:22] Yeah. So yeah. That like, again, I just. Okay. Like she's not a worse dress. I'm just laughing because she's constantly stealing black people's everything. But the one time she should copy. She flopped. The Kardashian-Generes decided that they're white women again. Oh, you're right. They got their kids. Fair. Nicki Minaj. I actually really like this. There's two things I don't like the bra. It's giving. It's giving.
[00:34:52] Is that a NYX wireless? That's what I think. I think I'm wearing the same one right now. Cheapo bra. And the flowers are giving dollar store. I feel like this look is very much like when you shared the inspo of like the hyper tailored, like exaggerated shape. I feel like it is giving that. Yeah.
[00:35:17] And again, where it's like when you look on the law along the front of her legs and there's all the lines of where it's stretched too tight. Like it doesn't fit quite. Like if this fit properly and had a different bra. I think this would be like 10 on 10. Like her boobs are trying to escape. I hate. No. And why are the straps so like I get again, I'm not a fashion girly.
[00:35:45] So I this I would actually like a fashion girly to break it down for me like that. This is a mess. What I find a lot of the times, especially in like formal wear, people don't know what to do with large breasts. They just don't know. So a lot of times they just get like pushed up and like, Oh, I see. And then to me, it just looks so uncomfortable that I can't even be on board with it. Yeah. But I think that that has kind of become like a bit of a fashion thing.
[00:36:14] Like even with like Sydney Sweeney, you'll see her in like formal gowns and it looks like she's choking. It's like they just don't know what to do. They don't know how to. Like you got to get way bigger than you need and tailor down if you want something really, really fitted. If you have large breasts and like a small waist, it's just the way it is.
[00:36:34] And fashion people don't consider that because so much of fashion is about like the the person wearing it as a hanger and they should be as small as possible to not take away from the clothes. Yeah, it's just it's unfortunate because I think Nicki Minaj is so beautiful. And again, I think the outfit is great. Sorry.
[00:36:55] We're just like not doing a great job describing it for our audio listeners, but it is a pinstripe suit, but it's a corset styled suit. So the top is like an hourglass and then she's wearing a long pinstripe skirt. Again, a mermaid gown. Yeah. Her makeup is this is maybe the best makeup I've ever seen on Nicki Minaj ever. Her face looks so good. Her hair looks great.
[00:37:22] I really enjoy the accessories on her hair. It's just the flowers are cheap. Yeah, I think wedding when I wanted the like silk flowers and I had to get the cheaper version. I didn't want to spend extra money. I can you say that when there is exactly like one person listening who is at your wedding? I mean, I don't have a lot of money. I mean, I don't have a lot of money. I mean, I don't have a lot of money. So those are the type of flowers.
[00:37:53] I got. No, it makes sense. That's all I meant. It makes sense. Oh my God. Oh, but yeah, I just I think she like this just had a lot of. And that's why it's unfortunate that, you know, she's wearing like the brownie soup dress and it's okay. Um, but her income like her is I believe. Um, no, no, no, that's not true.
[00:38:19] Uh, and I was trying to look up her designer just to give them some lashings. Oh, yeah, it is okay. So I'm brown brown brown brown. Sorry, but it's a deconstructed taste on a take on the dandy pinstripe soup again almost there. I just felt like she didn't. She didn't have enough time to finish. Yeah, uh, finish your final alterations. It's yeah, it's it has so much potential and could have been amazing.
[00:38:49] Um, and it's just not quite there. Yep. Uh, yep. And then a bad bunny in Prada. Boring. I love the bowling bag. Yeah, I mean, again, I just feel like like you talked about for other folks. We've seen better from bad bunny. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it's like out in public. So I'm not sure if Prada did that again, super fine tailored and I don't know what's going on with his arms. He's in a suit.
[00:39:19] Yeah. So he said it's like a dark brown almost like a chocolate colored suit. He's got gloves with like a almost like a lime green accent on them. Yeah, he's holding up a bowling bag that's like a dark or kind of like a reddish brown leather. Yeah, like a brown leather light brown leather. Um, and then the shirt and tie match kind of the two colors in the bowling bag.
[00:39:44] And then he's got this like straw hat on which I kind of like the hat and the bag and the gloves and the rest can kind of go. Yeah. And I think he's giving homage to his Puerto Rican heritage with the hat. He has a traditional straw hat. But again, I just I feel like Puerto Ricans are beautiful, have such great culture.
[00:40:11] And this all you we came up with Prada. Come on. Yeah, I do think a lot of the like looks not living up to full expectations. It's on the like designers. It's not on the people wearing it. I don't think they have that much say. And we've seen him in better clothes, even the last year's Met Gala. Uh, so a very unfortunate because again, I'm a very attractive man. Uh, and they just put him in whatever.
[00:40:41] And the every everyone had this curled hair. Everyone that wasn't black, I feel like had the curl in the front. That one little curl. Yep. Um, oh, this is a miss for me. Doja Cat. Why is she wearing the Jeffrey Campbell Lola? Oh, my God.
[00:41:07] It's just and again is it's a Marc Jacobs outfit and it's like it's a body suit. But it's giving diaper. It's yeah, they did. They they did actually that thing like like of having the super exaggerated shapes and a tailored piece, but they did it in a body suit.
[00:41:32] And so it looks really strange on like her hip bones on her stomach. And it's like a cheetah print with a pinstripe, which I think could be fun, but it just doesn't work in this context. Um, I also think her makeup is crazy. It doesn't the eyeshadow doesn't go with the lips. Thank God. And like, am I crazy?
[00:41:59] Um, like she's got like a almost like a silvery blue eyeshadow look with like a very dark, like vampy lip. And I think the vampy lip goes with the hair goes with the accessories goes with the outfit. Yeah. Like the eyes. The top or like her face. Yeah. It's like eyes are strange to me. Like she she looks beautiful per usual because beautiful person. But like, what are we doing?
[00:42:24] And also like, normally she does way crazier more off the wall. That's what I'm saying. We've seen her become a cat and do it really well in sleek. Like where? Why isn't she glued down and swear off? She just said she likes big cat prints, which is like you did the cat thing already better than this. Yeah. It's a mess for me. Yeah. Million percent.
[00:42:53] Um, it just doesn't look good. And the shoes, the stripper heels, y'all. Like, I don't know what else to call them. They, they, they are their pleasers. Yeah. And, uh, she has, um, leggings on. Okay. A sheer, a sheer black tight. Yeah. No. Oh, Reggagin page. Hot. All red outfit. Um, gorgeous. He's really special, but he's hot. The outfit's tailored really well.
[00:43:24] It's not a black tuxedo. Yes. We don't really know him as like a fashion guy. No. So the fact that he's even gone to like this all red monochrome look, it's like he gets more points for that. The bar is in hell for men. Literally forever. I'm going to be upset that he thought he was going to be like the next James Bond after Bridgerton. And then he's stopping on Bridgerton as a result. Like, and then where's he been? Nowhere.
[00:43:55] Random movies here and there. Has he been in movies? Yeah. Yeah. But not like, like a lot of good amount of action movies actually, but, um, but as like third, fourth billing. So yeah, not the Duke. You know what I mean? But again, the hot man, um, he's wearing Brioni. I like the red. It's like a tomato red, but it would be orange. But it is starting him. Uh, it's like orange ish red. Yeah. It's an orange for sure. I actually think that tone of red would look really good on you, Sasha.
[00:44:25] Oh, really? I think you could look here. No, I think you could really pull it off. Oh, I always go for yet like a maroon or like a red, red, but this is pretty. I like this one. But yeah, just a hot man looking hot and not in a black suit. That's him. You're probably one of the best to Louis Vuitton finally did something right, but she's tall. So they give it to all for some pants.
[00:44:51] Uh, Zendaya is, uh, of course, a style by a lot of Roach again. He's back. And in like the most crisp white tailored suit with a hat. Stunning. It's stunning. It's like a, not one. Oh, like a bell bottom, but not like too big of a bell bottom. Yeah. With like a super thin tailored blazer, the hat. She always looks good.
[00:45:21] Yep. It's just so good. Um, of course the, the big thing is that, um, on this, why who, uh, of course from Shogun if folks know and many other things, but I know from Shogun the best, um, wore very similar outfit and law Roach's reaction. So funny. I mean, I was just giving an interview. Cause Laura's just giving an interview. Who's a, her designer, uh, Zendaya's designer.
[00:45:47] And, um, he like looks over and you can see like him going through the five stages of grief right in front of us. Cause he looks and he's in shock. Then he's like a little bit sad, mad. And then he's like, Oh, not who wore it better is literally what he said. And then he goes, well, I'm glad we walked first. I mean, true. Yeah. I just, they don't really look alike.
[00:46:12] Um, because their body structures are very different, but it is a very similar, um, outfit, which is fine. It's funny. All right. And it's okay. It's just, it's gorgeous, crisp, clean, hard to wear one more outfit. Am I crazy? No, I agree. Um, and I also just like. For Zendaya, this is boring. Even though it's really good. Mm hmm.
[00:46:41] We expect more from her and from Law. Agreed. Uh, I, yeah, again, I see what she was going for. I will never, you know, dog on her. It's just, everything's crisp and clean. It's just after Cinderella. It's just, we're always expecting something like that. Yeah. It's, it's gorgeous and perfect. And she looks gorgeous and perfect. She just has a higher bar for us than other people do. Cause it's definitely a win. It's just, she could have done more. And it's top two. Mm hmm.
[00:47:12] Yeah. Uh, Charlie XCX. We're all. I, whatever. She literally went feathers. No, girl, whatever. I'm not mad at it, but it's also like, it's so Charlie XCX. This is, I think the first time I've ever seen her since Brad came out, not wearing a shoulder bag. Yeah. I couldn't even tell this was her at first. Like, I forgot what she looked like. Yeah. She's beautiful.
[00:47:41] Again, like she's got like a blazer jacket, but it isn't really tailored very well. It looks strange on her arms. And then like her boots are like, it's like a thigh high. Yeah. And it's like this skinny. Jean one. It's like really like wrinkly. And then like her skirt is this like sheer black with like a feather outline. And then her shirt's the same vibe. Sheer black with a feather outline.
[00:48:10] And then the feathers like in her hair. And you can see her underwear, like, and the under, like it's a sheer black skirt. So you see black underwear. And to me, that's like just referencing the song Guess. Yeah. That's what I was going to say. That's her vibe. Yeah. So like, okay. I don't think it's on style, but I think that it's not boring. It's not boring. If it was executed better, like better tailored fit better. I think it could be more fun.
[00:48:38] But again, I don't think this was ever going to really be super on brand for this year's Met Gala. And I don't think that's her. Like, I don't know that super fine tailoring is Charlie XCXY either. Yeah. But that's the point. Like it doesn't matter if it's your vibe or not your vibe. It's the event. And I think do something different. But here we are. Um, Nicole Kidman, Balenciaga girl. Go on girl. Give us nothing. Yeah.
[00:49:06] Um, I saw this tweet and I do feel like it's the funniest and most truest thing is that um, white people or no non black people saw. Um, that it said black dandyism and they just stopped at black and all of them were black. Yeah, I just like this dress like the drop waist are super in right now. And that's never been like my tee.
[00:49:34] But that's because I have a super long torso and little legs. I can't be wearing a drop waist. I look insane. Um, and so it's just never. But not like in a good way. Like in a bad way. Yeah. Like in a slender man, like scary kind of way. Like I having a long torso, but short legs, I wouldn't wish on anyone. It's so hard to buy. I'm just a short person. So I feel you. Uh, her hair is okay. Again, I just don't know what's going on.
[00:50:03] It's like a off shoulder drop waist dress with two belts. Wow. Yeah. It's, it's like she didn't want to commit to the proper drop waist. So she also belted at like her natural waist. At the natural waist. I'm like, boo, at least commit. The length is ankle length. So you can see her whole shoe. And her shoes look like in pain. The shoes are boring and ugly. My God. I like, I don't know.
[00:50:29] How do you make a black sling back pointed toe heel that bad? Like it's a kind of a classic. Yeah. Well, the whole outfit is kind of a classic in it. It just doesn't work. It's like a class, almost a classic. It's like they took a classic and made it just a little worse in every way. Yeah. And it's giving like wannabe Audrey Hepburn breakfast at Tiffany's. It's giving 8th grade graduation.
[00:50:56] And then I want a homecoming dance because it had nothing to do with the theme. Um, bless her. Bless her. Bless her heart. Oh, culprit. Here's the Louis Vuitton culprit. For real, what are you doing? Okay. So for real is wearing, I can't tell if his pants are pinstriped or not. No, they're not. But he's wearing like a black bell bottom with like a square toe boot. Yeah.
[00:51:25] And then his jacket is double breasted, but it's like, I think it was like cream and white pinstripe. It looks like corduroy. You know what I mean? Do you have the Balmain outfits where the Kardashians used to wear those dresses all the time? Oh my God. It's honestly, it does not look good. No, no. I, Pharrell deserves like overall, he looks good because I think it's a good tailored outfit. It's just so random.
[00:51:54] Uh, and his partner, I do forget her name and I'm sorry. Um, again, no pants. It's a, he's like the Edna mode at Louis Vuitton where instead of no capes, he's doing no pants. And these God forsaken tights are back. I, but Kate, here's the thing. At least if you're going to wear tights, this is more exciting than the plain black tights that we've seen on a few people.
[00:52:18] Um, but like it's a leather, leather strapless bodysuit, leather, oversized blazer, literally granny shoes. And then like a furry branded Louis Vuitton bag. And like, she's got her hair in a slick bag, but it's the type of, it's like a helmet hair where like the part of her hair has been totally. Um, like is gone.
[00:52:46] So stunning and tall. And like, what are we doing here? She's so beautiful. And let, and yet she looks like an egg. That's what I say. I, Oh, Helen. Sorry. Helen. Um, is that me? Sorry. But yeah, no, it's just, I'm telling you. It's just, he, he needs to be doing producing and not producing outfits. Yeah. Period. And the mood. Get out of here. Oh, yes. This is top three, top five looks.
[00:53:16] Janelle Monae. I yeah. Janelle Monae. This is also Throm Brown, which is so funny. I think it's just Tom. Tom. But there's an H. I, it's gotten me before. That's like the lead singer of radio head. No, it is Tom. You're right. Sorry. Uh, no, it's okay. But I just figure at least I say it now we don't get a hundred. Okay. Y'all know I don't be knowing this stuff, please. Um, but Janelle Monae did outfit reveal and I think Tom Brown is the one that has that.
[00:53:45] Oh, um, the pinstripe, uh, shoulder pad, hourglass, uh, exaggerated shoulder pads thing. So I'm enjoying it. And yeah, it's a reveal. Oh, and you know, she's gonna have a reveal cause it looks like she's got like a snowsuit under her Halloween costume when she walks out. And the monocle is, it's a watch. I love it. Uh, okay.
[00:54:14] Inspector Gadget. Actually, no, you know what? This is going to move up to number one. I take it back because I forgot how many little pieces, uh, have been incorporated. It's so, so good. And the hat is so fancy. It's giving like Sherlock Holmes Moriarty. Period. But like that compliment. Uh, and even though it's so, it's like almost choking her out.
[00:54:42] It's still, she looks so chic in it. And then bam, here's the reveal. Oh, and it's a skirt. With a two or like two sides where one side is completely red. Um, and then one side is a pinstripe black and white. Well, it's literally like she's wearing like the, the bigger, like over like outfit before she comes in. But it's literally like, this is the same outfit that's printed on what she was wearing, but just in actual outfit form, which is, you know,
[00:55:12] my favorite type of reveal that people can do. It's like on RuPaul's drag race and someone like takes off like a tiny little wig and it's the same wig underneath kind of vibe. Like, yep. I love that personally. And I just think it's so like this is tailored and it fits and the shoulder pads are the perfect size. And I love everything about it. Same, same. I'm very into it. Chef's kiss. Love all of this.
[00:55:43] And I don't know why they didn't keep that dirty. Yeah, because this is what this is. I just capable of. Um, very good. I think Janelle Monáe is actually my number one. Love Janelle Monáe. And then here's Ayo Debrey, like a co-host. Um, obviously giving a homage to many different cultures still looks amazing. Love her jacket. Yeah, I really like it's a leather jacket.
[00:56:11] Uh, but the sleeves have like a have a fabric going down, which almost makes it into a train. And I really enjoy that. So nice. Um, and then here is the criminal. She looks, looks, Kylie Jenner trash. Anyway, moving on. Yeah. Mary J.
[00:56:39] Blige look fire. Okay. Um, Mary J. Blige and Stella McCartney. First of all, I did not know Stella McCartney looked like this. Um, Mary J. Blige looks. Like I said, amazing. Um, it's like a basic white, but with boobs, but it still looks good. Yeah. I like, they're not funny. Anyone who didn't wear just like a black tailored outfit. Good. It gets bonus points. And I love the hat. It's a, uh, it's like a wired hat, but it works.
[00:57:09] Everything works. Um, I think the hair, I don't know, but overall Mary J. She likes to do it no wrong. I'll allow it. All white outfit. And then here, Cynthia in. Oh, give in she Vinci. And I like it. But again, the, the diaper. I feel like a diaper. It's a 10. I feel like it's two different outfits. Like the top doesn't match the bottom half.
[00:57:36] And like, if she had had like a tailored skirt that match the meeting on the top, I think it would be like in contention for top five. But I feel like her top and bottom are dressed for different events. Mm hmm. Yeah, I just something is missing to pull it all together. And I don't I couldn't tell you what exactly, but it's stunning. It's a corset with like jewels and black and black silver and red.
[00:58:04] Hello, my sorority colors and beautiful. Just the work is beautiful. It's just the bottom half doesn't meet. Yeah, it's just 100. Not 100 percent. Um, chance the rapper came with Donatello Versace. Um, like, I'm sorry. What? What sentence did you just say? Yeah, I know. Because we were like, oh, chance the rapper with a white woman. And I was like, no, that's Donatello.
[00:58:34] Which again, I think he like looks swaggy. I just don't think it's tailored to the Met. Um, yeah, to what the Met was asking, because the accessories are amazing. Um, I really like the hat actually with the brooch on it. Um, because I think folks are missing. A lot of those black outfits were missing brooches. Yeah, I agree. I agree. I think many looks could have been turned up just by having a good brooch. Yup.
[00:59:03] Uh, ASAP Rocky, a basic black outfit. Hilarious that he just beat a gun charge and his umbrella has a gun on them. So that was funny. Um, Diana Ross, uh, top five for me. Uh, just look at the train. A skirt, a moment for the skirt and the train. This was actually the first look I saw out of any of them. It was the first one that came across my desk. Wow. And I was like, oh my God, if this is how everybody like did it,
[00:59:33] then we're on for like the all time Met galas. And then I started seeing other looks. And this is what I was expecting. If I'm being honest, uh, it's like basic, but outstanding. If that makes sense. Like just the dress is a silver, um, like, uh, rhinestone outfit. But then the jacket train is like to die for in a feathered hat as well. Just hair. Oh my God. Diana Ross.
[01:00:01] She's one a like she is. She was the boy Sabrina Carpenter. I have you. No one can tell me that this was a good look for her. I, okay. It's not a good look for her, but it's at least like kind of on theme. I was talking to my sister about it. And we think the main issue is just her hair should have been up. Cause she looks like she doesn't have a neck because her hair is hiding it. And I think it would have made a big impact. What happened to the bottom half? She's short, not allowed to wear pants. Yep. And guess what? Louis Vuitton.
[01:00:32] But it's also Sabrina Carpenter doesn't wear pants anyway. So it's like, this is. But did you see her at the Met Gala pre party or after that? Oh, it was so good. And then yeah, she did have her second look that wasn't for the red carpet, which was significantly better than this. But I don't hate this. Like I've seen much worse. No, I don't hate it. It's just. She is so camp. Everything about her is camp. She should have like. Pharrell. Pharrell. Yeah.
[01:00:59] And then your man is my man. So I didn't know he was going to be there. Um, sorry for folks that don't know. This is Shara Khan. Um, and a lot of people are like, oh, who, who? Don't piss me off. Cause if you're a messenger, I feel like you should know. Like this is my man. I've been talking about him all the time. I think you've mentioned him every episode of this podcast. And, um, it's just, he's so perfect. You can't. Okay.
[01:01:30] You sent me this. You sent me this picture. I said, I need that K necklace. Okay. Cause he is the first ever Bollywood actor, man, male to walk the Met Gala. Which seems crazy. Yes. 2025. And this is the first. Yeah. And it is just, I understand that it was boring. People were in my, like, cause when I posted this on my Instagram, I don't care. I don't even think it's boring.
[01:01:59] Like, what do you, like everything fits the, the long jacket I feel is actually good. Like quite unique for, for a man on the Met Gala carpet. I like the like shorter sleeves on the long jacket. I feel it's interesting. I like the brooch. I like all the necklaces. And the jewelry is out of control. I like the cane. Like this is sub. He was by Sabia Sachi who also have talked about on this podcast is that very expensive clothing designer wedding gown. So this is who.
[01:02:29] And so anyway, folks asked me to talk about him and I don't know how to explain that. This is literally the biggest star in the world. Like I went to Kenya and I told people I was Indian and they said, oh, Shah Rukh Khan. Then people have gone to my friends have gone to Morocco and they said we're Indian and they said, oh, Shah Rukh Khan. Like he is the country's identity. And, and folks were like, oh, he's like the Tom Cruise. No, baby. Tom Cruise. No. Okay.
[01:02:58] Because if you go to Vogue's YouTube channel and you look at all the interviews, Shah Rukh Khan is the only one from the Met Gala that has a million plus views. Because he's the Beatles and Tom Cruise combined. And I, and this is no shade to people that don't know him. Um, Kirsten and I were talking about this beforehand and like, I really, this is my man. Like I would die for him. Uh, I would convert to Islam for him. I'm not even joking.
[01:03:26] Like if he asked me to be like his second wife, um, like it's real. Okay. And Sasha met him once at the airport and got his autograph. Listen, I met him the day I was moving to the United States. And literally we were like in TSA or the Indian, you know, immigration line. And a Shah Rukh Khan and his whole family is behind me. Just like standing there. Best day of my life. And in case I've not brought this up, which I have.
[01:03:53] The first day of his first shoe was June 26, 91. And guess who was born that day? Sasha Jones. So please, we are connected on a different level. But anyway, the point is like, he's a big, big deal. Like on Instagram only has 45 million followers. Um, again, India has a billion people, but he, he truly is like a global superstar.
[01:04:18] Like, um, and personally, I was pretty like annoyed by the presenters, not knowing who they're interviewing. Um, because if you look at the, like I said, 1 million plus views on his thing. And, uh, Tiana and Ego, right? Um, I go, I'm so sorry. Um, we're interviewing him and they were like, Oh, who are, you know, like he's a Gamshark. And they're like, great. Shotgun, blah, blah, blah.
[01:04:48] And then Sabia Sachi, his designer had to be like, no, like there was literally a stampede outside our hotel room before we got here. Yeah. It's one. That's, that's the thing too. Like you, you even said it, like, obviously if people who live like in North America have never heard of him like that, it makes sense. Like he's not in the movies that really are here. That's fine. But you know, who's invited to the Met Gala, you know, who you're going to be interviewing on the red carpet.
[01:05:15] And I just think if you're not able to do even like a little Google search, like it is not cute or funny to be bad at your job. I like, I don't understand. And it's just so funny. Like they were just like, when Sabia Sachi was like, no, this is like the guy that you have, like their reaction was like, Oh, what? So it just, it's unfortunate that the correspondents weren't given like enough information about who they were interviewing.
[01:05:45] I feel like the camera wasn't on him a lot. And when I say like, the movie can be a flop, but if it's a Shah Rukh Khan movie, it's gonna be sold out for years. Like he literally his movie, which I feel like, Cursor, you'd have to watch it on Netflix or Amazon Prime. I can't remember. It's literally when came out in 94. I wonder DDLJ come out. Well, you and it's still playing. I'll watch it.
[01:06:13] And it's still playing in movie theaters right now. The same movie. Yeah. Like 25 plus years. He's been in over a hundred movies, right? Yes. Yes. A billion plus dollars. Like that. Yeah. It's the type of thing where like, I know when I found out, like when you told me about him, I was like, Oh wow. I've never heard of him. And then you do like a five second Google search and you're like, how the fuck have I never heard of this? Yeah.
[01:06:40] Literally like the moment globally. And again, like even at 60 is still like running the game. And when he's talking about his, he's like, my little kids are really excited. His kids are like their own stars that we've talked about actually on this. Um, uh, when India did their version of the Met Gala, you and I talked, we talked about his kids. So it's really funny. Cause like they're not little. Um, and he's like a very funny witty person. So he's a little shady on the red carpet.
[01:07:09] And he's like, uh, sir, Tiana Taylor was like, Oh, you should be a daddy on the carpet. And he's like, Oh, I will. And of course he did his iconic hand, um, uh, pose, which I would die for. Uh, and I made my husband do in Switzerland when we were going to Switzerland to take pictures where he was. Um, also Switzerland literally has his posters like in the spots that he's been. I love that. I just, yeah.
[01:07:38] If you go to Mount Titlis, like there's a picture. There's not Mount Titlis. So I went to Mount Titlis and everyone there knew you. Like literally it's just, it's cut out. It's on Mount Titlis. So yeah, it's just, again, I'm not like shaming anyone that doesn't know him. I'm shaming the interviewers that don't know him. Cause he's just such a big deal. Um, he's like a global superstar.
[01:08:05] And like I said, like it's not just Indians or South Asians that know him. Um, and like every time my husband and I visiting like a different country, they'll be like, that's so funny. I wonder like, obviously there's no Canadian equivalent because like there's no Canadian who's had success on that level. But I wonder if like what celebrity, like if I said, Oh, I'm Canadian that people would think of, you know, even is one, like, I don't even know.
[01:08:35] I don't think Canadian, but I, like I said, I think he's the Beatles and Tom Crane rolled in combined. Cause if you look again, do it on your own time. I'm not going to wait. I know we're like way over time. Um, but we're, it's just so funny because if you look up Shara Khan's birthday and you see the crowd that comes outside his house, that's all you need to know. Um, Quinta. Okay. Uh, I think she could do better, but way better than what Tyler wore.
[01:09:04] She could do, she could do better, but at least they let her. I think she's short. I'll have a long skirt. Thank you. And it looks good. She does look little, but I, I mean, I actually think wearing a long skirt or long pants on a shorter person makes them look taller. And so that's what you're going for. Like, why are you saying no, you can't have pants? I don't get it. Cause my Beyonce outfit, I think I'm going to go with pants. Cause I think they look taller in them than my, the skirt I have. Lizzo killed it as well. I actually really enjoyed Lizzo's look. A hair. Go play Corwella DeVille.
[01:09:34] Yeah. In the best way. Yes. Um, oh, Lauren Hill. Lauren Hill embodied. Forever and always. Yeah. And she was on time. Just kidding. But, um, the end of me like girl. I, yeah, no, I love Lauren Hill's look. I think her look is up in the top three for me. Like I just think. And the silhouette. Like silhouette is so beautiful. The yellow is like something different. She looks stunning.
[01:10:04] She, to me, like if I were to her and Diana Ross and Angela Bassett is what I would send people as like what they should dress. And like, I think if you had said that even before the Met Gala happened, people would be like, yeah, make sense of those are the three best ones. Yeah, I really, um, no. Halle Berry. Anyways, Halle Berry is a gross ass for me. I know. Well, Halle Berry is like in, she tried to take a risk and it just didn't work.
[01:10:32] She just, it's like a sheer dress with black. You could see her pubic bone. Yeah. Yeah. And it's like, okay, no, it's just Halle Berry too fine. So a skirt looks like a garbage bag. Like she is too good for this. This is what Andre 3000 wore. And the past and back. Uh, yeah. Cole, I don't know who this is. Cole is called a tried, tried to be unique. And I at least can give props for that. The garden theme. Last year's theme, right? Yeah.
[01:11:02] Was that last year? Was it the year before? Yeah. Either way. But yeah, this would have been really good for the garden theme. I mean, I don't hate it for this thing. No. It's fun. It's a risk was taken. And I enjoyed it. I like the makeup actually the best. I think it's well tailored too. Yeah, it really is. Uh, yeah. Chris Rock, Questlove, Gabriella Hurst. Questlove actually, I think it looks really great. Um, Chris Rock just.
[01:11:28] Uh, but Questlove I think looks really good in this, um, outfit. Uh, it's actually for a bigger man. Angel Reese looking like an angel safe, but good. Yeah, I agree. Safe, but good. And she's tall as shit. So even then, I think the bottom could have been tailored like cut. Like they needed to cut off more fabric. Yeah. It's just a basketball player. Like what's happening? It's a thing where sometimes people like don't hem as much because
[01:11:55] I think it's a statement, but then it just looks, takes a good look. It makes it sloppy. In my opinion. Yeah. So again, like the only difference. I think I'm sitting here critiquing fashion as like, we're just normies, but it's fine. Miley Cyrus again, just boring. Another like appropriator that should have done better. It's exactly. It's I just think if you have ever.
[01:12:22] Appropriated black culture and then you're invited to this Met Gala. Now's the time to actually show some appreciation and honor it properly. And it just needed a good steaming, but I think that's fabric is the skirt from our like Claire's like what are you in? Yeah. Like where did you get this? The top actually looks really good. That's another one. They're the top and the bottom. We're into two different places. Loved it still.
[01:12:50] I mean, like again, she's like these people are so good looking that it works. But yeah. Hailey. Hi. Say again, St. Laurent. So cool. Stop. Stop the cap girl. It's so in general, like a blazer dress has to meet like the exact perfect circumstances to look okay on literally anyone. And this model. This one does not.
[01:13:18] And the thing is, didn't she wear better outfits to her road beauty launch? Yes. Like I'm lost. I'm sorry. It looks so bad. It's horrible. Shakira. Um, the thing is her designers and Nepali designer, which I was not understanding how all these people connected to someone that's more smarter than me. Like, could you please let me know how these South Asian designers became like part of the Met Gala.
[01:13:47] But Prabal Gurung, um, I think this is a miss. I think it is. Not for Rose's mind that was Shakira. I think it could be a hit at a different Met Gala. Yes. Like if it was like an 80s prom themed Met Gala. But then it would just be like, okay, she wore an 80s prom dress. Yeah. I don't know. And Prabal Gurung, like we've seen him wear, do much better stuff. Uh, so I'm very confused. He did do Jeet's outfit too, so.
[01:14:17] Very confusion on what happened here. Uh, Jeremy O'Harris and Beaumont, uh, Bridgerton. Oh, I was gonna say, um, Hamilton. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Hamilton, Dapper Dan. Yeah. That's the vibe. Amazing, but still basic. Not in the mean way, but yeah. Uh, Alicia Keys and Swiss. No. What are we doing? Alicia Keys without the jacket.
[01:14:45] The jacket is giving like, is gonna become the up house. Or like she's like a bouncer. She's gonna fall back on it. But it's, um, I do like the colors. The all red pinstripes. It's, they can look like pirates. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. Yes. I like, I don't hate it, but I don't like it. I don't know how else to explain Alicia Keys and Swiss Beats outfit. Like they're again, they're just a good, like a couple. So it works.
[01:15:14] Um, it's just funny. Pamela Anderson. People were really dragging. Oh, let her live. And I'm like this is a 50 year old lady. She looks great. Shut up. But again, a basic, um, uh, say for Sadie's sink and product. Girl, I don't, this is a prom dress. No, I appreciate what like, I would wear that to a funeral. And now. Coleman Domingo King in Valentino. Co-chair.
[01:15:43] He started with this, like a cape. No games, but beautiful Navy, right? Or blue. Maybe more Royal, Royal blue. Sorry. That's that's what I meant. And like a beautiful, um, vest, uh, or something like that. Or like the Pope on top of it. And then, uh, and then he changed. Into like a. I love. I love his suit. I mean, I love it. This man is perfect.
[01:16:12] Like the, the wide leg pants versus a, um, like a. Bell bottom, like everyone else wore. I feel like the wide leg just looks so good. And that was part of, I think the Harlem fashion as well. A hundred percent. Coming back. These like wide leg, a high waisted pants. And I, I love it. I personally give me a high waist. Yeah. I like pant because. I, I like that.
[01:16:39] We've all kind of just collectively agreed that like dress pants are like suiting pants. Yes. They look a little bit bad. They're a little bit ugly and that's kind of the vibe. And I love that. Yeah. And I mean. He should buy that in a suit like this, like the wide leg high waisted. I would look really good on him. Yeah. With the, um, the fitted. What is that? The four buttons or whatever. Mm hmm. But yeah.
[01:17:05] And I like, I really like, uh, again, like the like silk top, like look. Yeah. The scarf. The scarf. Like really. And the brooch. The flower brooch. I love the checker pattern of the jacket. Everything fits. 10 on 10. And a few different patterns, right? Checkered polka dots and then the pants, but it all works. And the shirt is colors and the shirt has stripes on the color. Yes. Exactly.
[01:17:33] Um, yeah, it's got just so many different elements and there's oh, and a little pearl on. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Like look in the. Oh, see, I love. I didn't go to shit. Yeah, we knew we knew he wasn't. Please, please. Yes. And yeah, he is again. 10 on 10 for me. Girl, Walt. He's not okay. Well, this is my one of my favorite men's outfits.
[01:18:02] Cause it feels like it's a female silhouette for Shibuzzi. Um, but it's the turquoise, uh, beads. And then the hat is giving Beyonce formation. Yeah. I saw people talking negatively about Shibuzzi's look and I was like, I don't understand the problem. Like I really liked it. It's giving like Western, right? Like the Western Southern look, but that's him. But then like, and then the hat is giving it more. It's like more unique and different.
[01:18:32] I don't know. I don't know. I enjoy it. To me, it's giving cowboy Carter. Maybe that's what she's wearing. Recreate this look for the tour. I should have. I did buy some fake. Sorry, Native American. Not people, but I do have some fake turquoise. Um, on Nicole Schwerzinger. Okay. Pinstripe. Um, pinup girl. Well, like, why is she there? She's so problematic.
[01:19:01] Lana Del Rey girl. No, go home. It's a flapper. But like spider. Yeah. I really like Lewis Hamilton's look. Cause it's giving paper boy. Yes. I love. He's so hot to me. Yeah, you're right. And the thing, whenever my husband's watching racing, he'll be like, oh, your boy. And I was like, he's not my boy. Like why? And he's like, I said he was good looking one time. But he is.
[01:19:30] I think Lewis Hamilton was giving that crisp white outfit with the perfect accessories. Agree. Broaches, the scarf that's dangling. Hat is just, I need to just go like, hey, it's not important to carry it off. Anything off. So true. Jen R.T. When she showed up in rulers. Okay. Here's where maybe I'm problematic. No, you. It's okay. I fucking love this look. No, I don't hate it. This is what I think Halle Berry was trying to go for. I just think.
[01:20:00] It ran out of paper. It looks so like the silhouette is beautiful and it's tailored really well. And then just the idea of like, obviously rulers and tape measures would be used to tailor people. And so it's like that kind of tongue in cheek whimsical vibe without the look actually being so crazy. Like, I think it's so good. No. And this is what you want from your Met Gala. This is what you want.
[01:20:30] I really, I, yeah. When I saw it, I giggled, but like in a like, ooh, I'm, you know, happy. It's like kicking your feet giggling, not like laughing at her. Yes. Thank you. I loved it. I think it's so good. It's so meh. Oh, Zendaya. Who wore it better? Uh, honest, why isn't Dior? So they are two different designers. It does look better on Zendaya.
[01:20:55] Um, but I do think it's still a great look, but it's only because we have her to compare. It's otherwise it would have been amazing. I mean, I think if I went to the Met Gala and I found out I'm wearing practically the same outfit as Zendaya, that's a compliment. I won. What do you mean? Sorry. Everyone else is gonna be mad, but I, I'm the best. Yeah. Uh, Kiki, I think looks nice in Vera Wang.
[01:21:22] Um, but again, I just feel like the bottom needs to be, uh, steamed. Uh, again, her top and bottom are going to two different events. Yeah. Um, I do love the, like. Which I think is interesting. Yeah. I think if they're just, if the skirt was just gone and it was kind of like the tube top, but with the collar of a suit with like a black tailored pant and heel, I think would have actually just been better. With the accessories on her arms. Yeah. Even the pants could have had those accessories. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:21:53] Bottoms not working. J ball and girl. I, okay. We're going to prom. It's fine. Tracy Ellis Ross, like a lot. This is a hit or miss for a lot of people. Like either you love it or you hate it. I think it's interesting. Um, like it's the exaggerated version. Yeah. Like what I like. And I like the colors, right? Like the purples and. Uh, purple, white, dark purple or maroon. Even with the pink.
[01:22:22] Uh, lilac. It just, it looks really nice. Her hat. I think it's. It's really cool. So I enjoy it. I think she took a risk. I like it. I think it works really well. I think it's like exactly what we wanted. Yes. And it's a mecca. Don't just, you can't just show up in a suit. Uh, but if you're going to show up in a suit, show up like Angela Bassett, baby. Period. Wow.
[01:22:46] Black and, uh, black and blue, or really it's a dark blue suit, uh, with black velvet flowers. I think it's blue and darker blue. Oh. And then the shirt is black. Yeah. I love it. Oh, it's so good. So tailored. So fashionable. She has the pimp cane. Yeah. Not a, not a lot of people had canes at the Metcalf this year. I enjoyed it. Charlotte Con and Angela Bassett. Wow. Period.
[01:23:16] Oh my God. Love that for me. Yeah. Angela Bassett 10 on 10. And Lakeith Sanfield is just so swaggy that he could have worn anything and it would have been fine. So I, I think it's okay. Not the pants could have been tailored better, but I think it works on Lakeith Sanfield. It works like with the overall, like oversized vibe of the jacket too. I do wish the pants had been hemmed. Yeah. Maybe that's what story. Yeah. Like it could be baggy, but needed to be hemmed. Yeah. But yeah. Oh my God.
[01:23:46] FK. It's flapper. What in the 1920s? Wait, just girl. La Roche had the same outfit actually as Angela Bassett. And again, if you show up and you're dressed the same as Angela Bassett or you're dressed the same as La Roche, it's like, Oh, we win. We win. Exactly. Um, I love that for us. Yes. And then, uh, Lupita Nyong'o, I think looked beautiful. Duh. Lupita Nyong'o.
[01:24:15] I love the cape, um, of her suit. She wore a baby blue suit, but the cape is what gives it movement. And I think the, uh, the actors that know how to, uh, or the celebrities that know how to, um, wear their outfit really well. Yes. That's what does it. Because Shao Kahn actually looked better in the pictures he took beforehand. Like you look way more. Uh, yeah. Agree. Agree. Um, and then, yeah, this is Rose in St. Laurent.
[01:24:42] Basic black with the jacket or like a cape. Um, and then Iman, I don't know if this is, I'm sorry. Uh, Tyler girl. How do you go from sand to this? I think a lot of people just thought, put it in a pinstripe and call it a day. Ever heard of iron? A steamer? No. Um, that was just too pretty for this. Like up until her shoulders, she looks perfection.
[01:25:14] It's just the outfit was a miss. She's never a miss. Duh. Zoe Sildana again, Tom bro. Tom Brown, um, look great. It's same like big exaggerated silhouette. Uh, Dua Lipa. Uh, I thought could have, like something wasn't where I think it's a skirt. That isn't. I don't. It's given Halloween. Yeah. Is this put together? It's like, as in like haphazardly. Mm hmm.
[01:25:43] Oh yes. Precious Lee looked fire. She's a model. And it shows. Yeah. And it, I don't know what it had to do. With the theme. But she looked great. I think her hair needed to be different. But yeah. There's a picture of her like whipping her hair and asking someone very politely to move. Um, so that she could get her picture. Um, and her hair looked much better in that.
[01:26:08] Um, but I think this is giving that like Harlem vibes of like the, um, the feathers and the cheetah print. Yeah. Or the leopard print. And, uh, it's just her jumpsuit isn't necessarily. Yeah. But I'll take a jumpsuit over just a suit. And the tailored is tailored really well. Agree. Um, oh. Patrick's listening. Anyways. Yeah. I just. Another. Okay. Lord.
[01:26:40] I don't really understand. I mean, they're, I think it's the play on the like, but isn't this 2000s? I don't know. We own, I own this bodycon dress. In 2000. Yeah. I don't really understand. I don't understand. Yeah. Lori was okay. Oh girl. Kendall Jenner. Let's move on. It's so bad. I think Kendall Jenner's is my least favorite of all of them. And there are some very bad looks. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:27:09] Um, Demi Moore looks nice. Mm hmm. Oh my God. Is that me more? Okay. No, she's not. Yeah. Clearly not. Um, but I like the top. That's interesting. It's like her whole dress is a tie, which I love. Yeah. She's the neck tie. Oh, duh. Why did I put that together? Okay. I'm back. I'm back. Sorry. I doubted you. That's cute. Okay. Yes. Correct. It's what we need. Colin Kaepernick and Nessa look great. Um, per usual.
[01:27:38] They literally look like royalty. Yeah. This is like their vibe. So if they've messed up, it would have been bad. Exactly. Oh, look great. Uh, Usher. Yes. Usher's giving basic, but it's, but it's Usher. So it's fine. It's going to look fire on us. Oh, Rosalia. I know. I don't know what you mean, girl. No. No. And yeah, no. Yeah. And all, uh, Oliver or Olivier? Olivier.
[01:28:08] Yeah. Yes. Olivier. Um, Roast Town. I'm so sorry. Um, Beaumont. I enjoy Beaumont. I must say. Um, and I, and I loved the sewing machine. The sewing machine's great. And again, if your co-host is how I need you to show up. So you have to, you have to show up if you're a co-host. Yup. Uh, Issa Rae wore a suit. And the shoes are not Issa. The shoes do not go. The hair is beautiful. Hair and makeup is beautiful.
[01:28:39] Yeah, absolutely. Oh, yes. Mr. Gina King. Co-host. And they look good. And gorgeous. Yeah. And she has like a lot. It's just, it's so nice. Like all the details are what's really good. Okay. And now we should like move. Cause now this back gets a little. Yeah. We're like, we're past. It's fine. Um, oh no. I didn't think this was Justin Balconi. Oh, another too many babies. Russell Wilson and Sierra.
[01:29:09] Anyway, Lisa. Um, this is Lisa from Blackpink in. What would you know? Louis Vuitton. And Lisa's, um, underwear. Or sorry. Lisa's wearing a. A body. A really beautiful jacket. Um, that I think is tailored really well. I love all of it. I think it's Henry Taylor. Um, is the designer specifically. Or his first name is Henry at least. And for people thought she had Rosa Parks. Like on her diet.
[01:29:37] Like basically on her private part. Turns out it's like people or women that the designer. Like knows personally and has. That's not better. That's not better. I'm sorry. Like you. I know we said a lot of people played it too safe, but you could have played it more safe than this. Cause what are we doing? No one to say the N word. Like no. Yeah. Is it at least? No. This is just like so tone deaf. I don't know what happened here.
[01:30:06] Uh, Serena Williams. Oh my gosh. Just fascinating. I think that we should end it at Serena Williams. Oh yeah. Yep. Nope. Can I just show Doji and then we'll move on? Yes. Yeah. Well, we really should move on. I was just trying to get to him. But anyway, um, while we do that, I also have some fun lore. Tell us. So Priyanka Chopra, obviously, and Nick Jonas were there. Um, and Priyanka Chopra's drag. Oh, this is the worst one by the way.
[01:30:36] Amelia Graham. The drag girl like underwear on the out. Like, please. Um, anyway. So, oh, Joey King also had a really good outfit. Um, so, uh, and, uh, Damien St. Idris is my favorite. Um, because I could like, it's beautiful. He came out and came in an F1 car, had the F1 outfit changes into a maroon. Yeah. He's your favorite. Not because of the fashion. Let's be clear. Okay. Anyway. So anyway, sorry.
[01:31:06] So as we're going through this, um, I'm going to stop sharing while I find Dilji's outfit because I do want to talk about it. Um, Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan allegedly, allegedly, allegedly, um, were a thing. And like, and allegedly cheated on his, um, white, uh, which I don't think is too, you know,
[01:31:29] because that's my man, but, but yeah, he, um, unfortunately, uh, so it's really funny. Cause people say she moved to Hollywood because he like, again, has a lot of star power and kicked out. Um, so it's really funny that they were together and the outfit that, that she wore was like, I think one of the last movies they did together. Oh, okay.
[01:31:57] It's like a very similar outfit. Um, so I just thought that was very funny and I wanted to share, uh, with the class, the, the drama that they were in the room together for the first time in a long time. The other big drama of it, of the MacGala was Wisdom K was not invited. Oh, yes. And we, we have, like, I know we've been talking about this for too long, but we can't not talk about this.
[01:32:20] Um, because like, Wisdom is literally like the face of like black dandism in 2025. And so it just is such a slap in the face. And I don't know how much truth there is to this, but allegedly, um, I've seen that he wasn't invited because of how much he speaks up for marginalized groups as kind of the theory.
[01:32:46] So I, yeah, it's just insane for him to not be there at like this specific MacGala. Agreed. Um, so yeah. And then, sorry, I know this has been going on forever. Um, but hopefully y'all enjoyed it. I don't know. But I, oh my God. I wanted to talk about Dilji as well. Um, Dilji is a Punjabi, um, Punjabi singer, but he's done, um, a lot with Sia, with Swee,
[01:33:16] D.D. actually as well. Um, and it's just like, and it was on Jimmy Fallon. So he's been like trying to, I think, or is breaking into like the Western market. So he showed up in a traditional, um, Punjabi outfit. And, um, it was part of what the Kings wore and, um, specific garments he has.
[01:33:41] Um, so the turban, the sword, um, the kata is what, which is like the Bengal on his hand, like are what Sikh, uh, Sikhs wear as like a part of their like get up. So it was really beautiful to see someone take the theme and like, at least it's tailored really well. Um, but take it for their own. Um, and this is the same designer as Shakira, which is why I think it's very funny. And this is the thing where it's like, the theme is tailored for you.
[01:34:10] So you can stretch it a little bit to make it more like this is for him and his culture and his people. Right. And yes, obviously like the exhibit related to this is black dandyism. And we love to see that and love to see that recognized, but also this is like, this look is something that's very different from what you would perceive as, you know, black dandyism,
[01:34:37] but it has so many of the same elements that many of the outfits had. Like, but it's just got that little twist to it. Yeah. And even has beautiful. Yeah. And the back, um, is Guru Maki, which is, he has the outline of Punjab, um, on the back of his, um, the cape. And, uh, it's the Guru Maki script, which is a Punjabi script. So these, the, these are the letters, um, on it, which I thought was such an interesting move. And the last thing from him is that the choker he's wearing.
[01:35:07] Um, if you remember, we did talk about it on this podcast. Emma Chamberlain wore the choker by, um, that was stolen from with now that it's owned by Cartier, I guess, um, from the Mara Japatyalo, which is what Dilji, um, did like modeled his outfit. So Cartier told him no, um, on loaning the jewels that, that are Indian.
[01:35:36] Um, and instead Emma Chamberlain already wore those. So that is annoying to that outfit that they didn't, or that jewelry that they didn't let him. Yeah. So, and that's like what Dilji is known for, like very proud Punjabi Sikh man. So I appreciate that. I loved it. And this has gone on so long. Yes. Let's, let's go just to anonymous. How to part. Yeah. Let's do it.
[01:36:04] Um, so we did get actually a little piece of feedback on last week's episode. Um, which is good cause we needed it. Yeah. So they are a big fan of Seth Meyers, which we talked about Blake Lively on Seth Meyers show last week. And I did say the show is 30 minutes long, but it's actually a 60 minute show. So it like makes more sense why Blake Lively got 11 minutes of the show. So my apologies. Fair. Correction issued.
[01:36:33] Um, however, but comments on the YouTube video of this interview are turned off and they were never on. And that's not something that the, that, um, Sarah who provided the feedback has ever seen on Seth Meyers YouTube channel before. So this is new. And also, yeah, this was one of the weirdest interviews ever on this show. And like, our, she blames Blake for that, which is fair. And I agree.
[01:37:01] It was a long 11 minutes and I felt every second of it. Mm hmm. I'm a hundred percent. So thank you. Yeah. For submitting some feedback via our anonymous form. That's absolutely a great place to, to send us more context on things or more info. Um, this anonymous is an all timer. Quite literally. Like it's when you're reading something and you know that it's going to change like the everything. Um, it's called incest question mark mess.
[01:37:32] And our messenger says my wife and I debated for months about whether to send this in or not, because it is so messy. It could literally tear families apart, but enough time has passed. So like here goes. Yes. Thank you. So the backstory is our messengers mother got pregnant when she was a teenager and was pressured by her parents to give the baby up for adoption. So our messenger was never told until she was 18 that she had a brother out there in the world. Oh my God.
[01:37:58] And so when she found out, she started searching, did DNA kits, contact adoption agencies, everything, but like hit a bunch of dead ends. Got it. Like years later, um, our messenger got a message on a DNA website from a man that says, Hey, like, looks like we're siblings. So they started messaging and they made plans to meet in person. He only lived a few hours away. He connects with his mom. Things go really well. He's married with three kids. So the, but this is where things take a turn. Yeah.
[01:38:28] So our messenger also has a step sister who is the daughter of her stepdad, who our messengers mom married later in life. And this stepdaughter is around the same age as the newly found brothers, like a few years older than our messenger. Step sister is married and has two kids of her own. And the step sister, our messengers brother, our messengers brother's wife bonded naturally similar ages, similar life stages. Like it just seemed pretty harmless. Okay. Okay.
[01:38:58] However, our messenger is an extremely observant person. And she picked up on a weird energy from that group of three from the brother, his wife and her step sister. Um, all of a sudden the step sister and her brother's wife are like very close. And our messenger knew that both of them have openly talked about being unfulfilled in their marriages and more fluid and sexuality. And so our messenger is like, Oh my God, is my step sister having an affair with my brother's wife?
[01:39:27] Like, or is there an emotional affair? Like what's going on? Oh my God. And then the step sister starts dropping comments like, Oh, if I ever got divorced, I'd want someone like your brother. Which I, and our messenger says, maybe it's just me, but I can't fathom thinking about my step siblings that way. And yeah, I do agree that it's very weird, but it's also like they grew up so separate from each other. It's not like they would have ever been like in a sibling relationship. Yeah.
[01:39:55] It's like, I do think it's weird, but not like the weirdest. Mm hmm. Okay. So then we fast forward some more big family vacation. Everyone is there. Our messenger, their wife, their mom, their stepdad, step sister, and her husband, brother and his very pregnant at the time wife, all five kids. And at one point it's our messenger, her brother, his wife, and the step sister alone in the car.
[01:40:23] And our messenger just goes for it and says point blank, what is going on? And lays out everything she's noticed about the dynamic between these three people. Oh my God. Who frees because they are clearly shocked that they weren't as slick as they thought. And they then confess that the three of them had a threesome and are exploring a potential polyamorous relationship. Oh, brother. Oh, brother. And so again, this is happening on family vacation with all of the kids. Our messenger's brother's wife is eight months pregnant.
[01:40:53] Um, and there's one completely clueless husband just like going about his day. Like nothing is wrong. The step sister's husband, but then it gets worse. So our messenger later talked to her step sister alone to try and understand how the hell this even started happening. And this is where the real bomb drops. Our messenger's brother's wife thinks they're forming a trouble, but her step sister and her brother have actually been hooking up on the side and secretly making plans to leave their spouses for each other.
[01:41:22] And the poly talk is just a convenient cover story, which again, the brother's wife is literally about to give birth to their fourth child. What? Yeah. So our messenger at this point is sitting on nuclear level information and just kind of watching everyone else act like nothing is happening. They say, what would you do? Would you mind your business? Would you tell the clueless husband, tell the rest of the family, sit back and let it all burn?
[01:41:48] I think, I mean, I never would have been bold enough to straight up ask what was going on. I think I would have just kept watching and observing. Yeah. No, I think if it's my brother, I would have asked. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know if I would have or not. It ultimately it doesn't matter because a few months later the whole thing just fizzles out. But then this is where we find out. Unfortunately, our messenger's brother is not the best. He is manipulative as hell and starts turning to expose everything.
[01:42:18] If our messenger stepsister doesn't move five plus hours away from her home to be with him. Mind you, she's caring for her dying mother at this point in time as well. So like really horrible. Oh, my God. Um, he has not followed through with that. Um, which our messenger says would backfire anyways, because he'd be outing himself for his behavior. Right. Um, and so now the whole family just acts like that period of time never happened.
[01:42:43] There's still tension steer still weird vibes, but it's like they've everyone has just silently agreed to pretend it never happened. Oh, brother. Yeah. Tell me the F. I know isn't this like. It's so wild. Okay. I hope. Well, I hope that the stepsister has like a good support system. Yeah, that's what I mean. It's just like. Cause it. Oh, my God. Cause I feel like she got caught up in this.
[01:43:12] It's yeah, it's she got caught up. I am never gonna be a supporter of cheating happening. Um, but I still like don't. I mean, I don't like her to be blackmailed by an emotionally manipulative man while her mom is dying. Like that also sucks. Seriously. Holy shit. Well, listen, thankfully. Stepsister was able to. Yeah. So that we can. The we can have the mass.
[01:43:42] Yes. Thank you. And they literally they said at the end, generally speaking, like our messenger and their wife will be listening to mess magnets. And anytime it gets to anonymous, they just like side each other like, oh, we've got gold. And you did. And thank you. And this needs to be like, we might even bring it back for an oops. I literally I was like, I cannot wait on this one. But it also has to come up in our oops. All and on. Yes, I think there's gonna be a repeat and that's okay. That's okay.
[01:44:09] We'll get more people for different people, more people for oops. All anonymous. So I love that. Thank you to our messenger and to your wife. Thank you. For bringing this to us because we deserve this. If this reminded anyone of mess that you've heard in the past mess magnets dot com, please submit your mess. Help us out. All right. And let's have a little bit of a longer episode. Um, and that's fine. I'm excited. Submit your mess. We need it.
[01:44:38] Also, I didn't the only two. I feel like I didn't get to talk about also was Tiana Taylor and Obadi were the best. The two best. I think a female looks. So I just wanted to put that out there in case the comments are like, you want to talk about them? Yeah, we didn't. Sorry. We talked about like everyone else. So yeah, exactly. I just wanted to bring that up because I just didn't want to. But yeah, we have a lot.
[01:45:06] A lot of mess going on these past few weeks. I feel as well. So that we will be talking about the Prince Harry security part. Yes. Yes. Um, next week. Uh, and, and Paul Pierce, uh, maybe if I remember. Well, that's funny. And we'll show. I'll show you those videos. Yes. Um, so yeah, that was it. Thank you, Kirsten for all your good work. Uh, thank you everyone for listening.

[01:46:03] Uh, uh, Scali and I were on the big brother 18 retrospective on the Rob has a podcast, YouTube. And just follow me everywhere at Kirsten said what, what about you, Sasha? Yes. Um, same for me. You can find me on blue sky. Um, and I don't, well, I was on the amazing guys podcast, but I think it's too late now. Cause it was for last week, but, um, Chappelle and I have a new podcast coming called sneaky links.
[01:46:30] Where we're going to be talking about Netflix, a show called sneaky links. So which looks so good. It's going to be so messy. I hope it's actually messy and it doesn't get boring, but we'll see. Uh, so that's coming soon to nothing but Netflix. So that's something fun. Um, and with that, I will see you next week. Thank you, Kirsten. Thank you everyone for listening. Bye.
