[00:42:49] Colby is her favorite child. And then crazy, but yeah. And then Brianna is Katie and Colby's one

[00:42:58] year old daughter. Now that's crazy already. We're gonna listen, we're getting a full background. So

[00:43:32] like this. This I love guys. Um, and okay, so the background information. So Heidi and Tyson live in

[00:43:42] the same town as Colby and Katie. And their retired mom Gretchen was about an hour away.

[00:43:50] At the time that this happened, Heidi had two kids that were four years old and three years old.

[00:43:57] And she was seven months pregnant with her third child. Damn. And as mentioned, our messenger and

[00:44:04] her husband had one one year old child. Yeah. At this point in time, Tyson so Heidi's the brother

[00:44:11] in law of our messenger worked about a out of town a one week of the month. And when he was away,

[00:44:19] our messenger and her husband would help Heidi with the kids while he was gone. You know,

[00:44:22] pretty standard community stuff. Yep. Okay. Part one. Who that listen, this is this is what's

[00:44:30] gonna get that down like ready or one hour point. Okay, so a few years ago, our messenger knew that

[00:44:36] Tyson was out of town, and texted Heidi to see if she needed help. She said, I would like some

[00:44:41] help entertaining the kids and some light cleaning or cooking would be great because I've been extra

[00:44:45] worn out and has been had been exerting herself so far that she was having like false labor

[00:44:51] because damn, when they get to the house, they realize that things are worse than she let on

[00:44:59] and they take her to the emergency room because her heart condition was acting up.

[00:45:03] They ended up staying three plus hours at the hospital while they ran tests and determine

[00:45:06] the safest course of action for her and the baby. It was pretty obvious that she was going to have

[00:45:12] to be on bedrest in order to carry her baby to term. So we the Yeah, like the siblings and their

[00:45:21] spouses decided that Colby should call his mom and have her come down to help at least until Tyson

[00:45:29] business trip, which he was working to come home early. Yeah, valid. So when they get home from

[00:45:34] the emergency room, Gretchen, the mother in law had just arrived. She did not understand Colby's

[00:45:39] call and only brought an overnight bag with her. She spent the first 30 minutes that they were

[00:45:46] there whining about missing plans that she had set to plant her garden BC and having to call people

[00:45:52] to feed her cat. And so at this moment, Heidi is literally in front of her gritting her teeth going

[00:45:59] through contractions and heart palpitations. And her her own mother that's stressing over how this

[00:46:08] inconvenience keeps her from Yeah, I literally rolled up to be like, so is she the mother?

[00:46:13] But it's her mother, her own mother doing just just wild to me. Wow. Wow. Wow. Parents. Yeah.

[00:46:21] So the next day, our messenger Kate goes to Heidi's place straight from picking up her daughter

[00:46:26] from daycare. Okay, and she finds that Heidi is not resting, but she's making a snack for kids.

[00:46:31] Well, Gretchen is just in her room. The whole day had gone like this. The kids would ask for

[00:46:36] something Gretchen would shrug them off and then Heidi would have to take care of it. She said she

[00:46:40] hadn't gotten any extra sleep and had gotten up to get stuff for the kids slash white butt slash

[00:46:45] breakup fights at least 10 times she's supposed to be on bed rest. Gretchen had even left at noon

[00:46:52] to go to the mall for more clothes. Even though it had already been planned that she would do that

[00:46:57] after our messenger was done working came over to how Oh, yeah, cuz that's a messenger's mother.

[00:47:02] Yes, exactly. So obviously, Heidi continued to have contractions and palpitations throughout the day.

[00:47:09] Once Colby got there, I guess after his workday, they were like, Oh, Heidi's got to go back to the

[00:47:13] emergency room. Like she is not she's like, me the fuck off. Like, yeah, I'm mad. I'm mad. But

[00:47:19] I hate when women have to like become superheroes. You know what I mean? And why? Like, this is so

[00:47:25] ridiculous. And why is it always like moms and pregnant women that be going through it? So way

[00:47:30] more like, girl, she should have just no because she has a community. She has all these users

[00:47:38] that should be taking care of her and they're just not doing it. Well, most of them are doing it.

[00:47:42] But then like the one that's supposed to help out while everyone else is at work is just not helping.

[00:47:47] And caregivers deserve rest too. So you know, it's not fair to like our messenger to be on all

[00:47:53] the time either. Well, exactly. And so they get to the ER and the doctors determine the height is

[00:48:00] an actual labor now. Oh my gosh, labor. They gave her some medication to slow the contractions down.

[00:48:06] And they say in the past, sometimes this medication can keep keep the baby in for like a

[00:48:11] full week longer. But she needs to take bed rest seriously.

[00:48:16] This is so terrible. Actually horrible. Seriously. So our messenger has the doctor write up like

[00:48:23] exactly what it looks like for taking bed rest seriously. Like this is what needs to happen.

[00:48:27] Yeah, I step and she because she wanted to have a discussion. And she also texted her child care

[00:48:35] to see if they could take even one of Heidi's kids for a day or two as a backup plan. But they could

[00:48:40] not. Yeah, it's having colds, which may come up later. So discussion back at the house did not go

[00:48:47] well. Gretchen bristled at being told she needed to do better. She made excuses and brought up old

[00:48:52] wounds from her ex husband and from Heidi's behavior as a teenager. Oh, hell no. So they

[00:48:59] reminded her that Tyson was rushing his business trip would be home the morning after next. And she

[00:49:03] will be happily planting her garden in less than 48 hours. She just needs to keep Heidi calm,

[00:49:07] healthy and pregnant in the meantime. Oh my god, you know what's horrible? It's like you could maybe

[00:49:12] get like a house help, you know, to like clean the house and stuff. But like, you can't just get a

[00:49:17] nanny, you know, on call. No, you can't just find someone to take care of two kids or three kids

[00:49:26] really out of nowhere, right? Yeah. And that's the worst part. Unfortunately, this did not go

[00:49:33] as planned. Because the next day while our messengers at work Heidi calls her and says I

[00:49:38] have to go to labor and delivery. Wow. So they rush home, our messenger rushes home to grabs her and

[00:49:44] ends up having to fight with Gretchen to do so. Because Gretchen thought it was her right as the

[00:49:49] mother to go with Heidi to have the baby. And our messenger says should stay with the kids.

[00:49:54] She really said, right? That's crazy. And Heidi just made up some bullshit about trusting her

[00:50:00] with the kids more than our messenger so that our messenger would be able to take her to the

[00:50:04] hospital. Yep. She had the baby about six hours later with Tyson on FaceTime still on the road,

[00:50:10] literally, he's driving home while this happens. Like he didn't, he missed the birth of his child

[00:50:15] because his mother, his mother-in-law wouldn't help his wife like have that dress. That's crazy.

[00:50:21] He's terrible. But luckily, both Heidi and the baby were healthy throughout the experience. The

[00:50:30] baby's good. No problem. Yeah. Thank you. That is like, you know, whatever you believe,

[00:50:39] not because it's supposed to be. It's just that is luck and whoever is out to protect this family.

[00:50:46] So then okay, then we get to part two. So obviously, Heidi wanted her husband Tyson

[00:50:54] to be one of the first people to hold his son. Yeah. So she didn't allow any visitors until he

[00:50:59] was home and back and could come and hold the baby. Yeah. Our messenger held the baby for like

[00:51:04] a second while Heidi was getting a heart checkup for her condition. But that was a yeah, well,

[00:51:08] but that's like a job. It's not. Yeah, that's like that needed to happen. So you can make sure

[00:51:13] that the mother's health was okay. They also hadn't decided on a name at that point yet. Yeah.

[00:51:19] Gretchen was pissed about all of this. She was already upset about not being there when he was

[00:51:24] born and told everyone multiple times how slighted she was at not being able to visit

[00:51:29] the evening the baby was born or to go with Tyson when he came home the next morning.

[00:51:35] That's actually ridiculous. And she also said more than once that without her input, they would be

[00:51:42] sure to pick an awful name for their baby. This is a woman. Isn't are you? This this woman is insane.

[00:51:49] So then in the afternoon that same day, she went to the hospital, which again, mind you,

[00:51:54] the baby is less than 24 hours old. Yeah, baby. She was on one. She criticized the decision to

[00:52:01] wait for visitors, the hospital staff and Heidi's breastfeeding technique in the first 10 minutes.

[00:52:07] What this is not even this lady's first baby. And listen, if the baby is drinking,

[00:52:14] then the breastfeeding technique, correct? Like, but I just like what?

[00:52:19] Exactly. So then she asked about the name. They had been trying to decide between Asher and Austin,

[00:52:27] but they landed on Austin, which is after Terry's hometown for one. Yeah, great. But both good

[00:52:32] options. Nothing wrong with either of those. Gretchen was berating Heidi for not choosing a

[00:52:38] biblical name. After all they've been through the last few names, the last few days, Tyson shouldn't

[00:52:43] have been able to choose the name also. My God, because I guess because Tyson was at work and

[00:52:49] couldn't come home immediately. He came home early, but he didn't get home fast enough for Gretchen.

[00:52:58] She was in she insinuated at the hospital that Tyson was controlling and possibly abusive

[00:53:03] and was leading the family away from Christ. Was that behavior? That's for being at work. Yeah.

[00:53:10] And then the other kicker that she never even let Heidi explain was that Heidi was had been

[00:53:17] leaning towards Austin and Tyson had been leaning towards Asher. So it was actually more like her

[00:53:21] her pick got done. Never. So in the middle of getting so she's given birth less than 24 hours

[00:53:28] ago early because her heart condition was being like messed up because of the pregnancy and all

[00:53:34] of that. Yeah. And she's being yelled at by her mom in the middle of this Heidi says I've had

[00:53:39] enough. She pushes the nurse call button. The nurse figures out why she's been called and told

[00:53:44] Gretchen that visiting hours were over and that she needed to leave. It took a bit of a fight,

[00:53:49] but she did leave and Heidi asked the hospital not to allow Gretchen back in. That's crazy. You

[00:53:54] should not have to do like you should not have to do like that sucks that she had to take that step.

[00:54:00] I don't even understand how this work. Wait, you know what I'm saying? Like that is so nut.

[00:54:08] Wow, it's nuts. Okay. Now there's part three. So while Gretchen was getting kicked out of the

[00:54:15] hospital, our messenger and Colby's daughter Brianna was getting politely sent home from

[00:54:20] daycare for having a cold which she caught from her cousins. The daycare has a strict policy and

[00:54:26] it can sometimes put parents in a bind and they just take turns staying home when this happens.

[00:54:30] It was Colby's turn to stay home. So after picking up Brianna, Colby went to Tyson and Heidi's house

[00:54:37] to see what help was needed there. And he was there when Gretchen came home and she was not

[00:54:43] happy with Tyson. So Tyson and Colby I guess are the ones at the house and they try to deflect

[00:54:51] Gretchen's anger with reminders that she's now free to go home since Tyson's job gave him some

[00:54:55] paternity leave and he could watch the kids. Colby even said he could come over with Brianna for a

[00:55:00] few days and help since he was going to have to take off from work anyways. And then after hearing

[00:55:07] this, and this is word for word what Gretchen says after hearing this. She says, oh that's just silly.

[00:55:15] Why should you take time off work when I'm already here? I can watch Brianna the next day. Baby girl.

[00:55:22] How do you not fight? You know what I mean? So to recap, this woman has done nothing but whine

[00:55:28] about her garden for literally has been useless to her suffering daughter, put both her own

[00:55:33] daughter and her unborn grandson's health at risk. But the same SMPTO not a problem. I'm right there.

[00:55:40] That's how you can see who the favorite child is. For all you single children out there.

[00:55:47] So Gretchen did end up staying with our messenger and her husband for two days and watching Brianna.

[00:55:53] Our messenger came home every day to a clean house and a happy baby and it enraged her so much

[00:55:58] because the difference in how she treats her kids pissed her off before this experience.

[00:56:05] So obviously our messengers mother-in-law more than a little sexist. No one calls her out even

[00:56:11] Colby himself. Or wait no, no one calling her out even Colby. Yeah. Makes a difference. Sorry my bad.

[00:56:25] favorite child privilege. He's doing his best. So the four of them Colby, Kate, Heidi and Tyson

[00:56:32] have all been slowly distancing themselves from Gretchen and have asked her and have not asked

[00:56:36] her to watch their kids since this happened. So and so this was a couple of years ago.

[00:56:43] So I wonder where things stand now, but this is some crazy mother-in-law drama.

[00:57:52] give it to the youngest kid who just happened to be the boy and the girls just had to watch
