[00:00:52] Tori Yes, absolutely. I'm Tori. I host Ready to be Petty and Ready to be Romance. And this month on Ready to be Petty, I covered a lot of Kardashian. I talked about Kim's political aspirations and then I covered all of the Kardashian Christmas cards.

[00:01:09] Tori Yes, I did some best of 2024 and I had Kirsten on to talk about our pop culture 2025 predictions, which will come out January 2nd.

[00:01:21] Kirsten Yes, I'm very excited to see the response to that one. I feel like we had good predictions.

[00:01:27] Tori No, I know. And it's so funny because I did. I, I missed last year with you, but I did some of my own predictions and I like kind of slayed like I was like, can't just have a comeback. Selena Gomez is going to get engaged. Haley Bieber and Justin Bieber are going to have a baby. With that being said, those are all kind of lay up predictions.

[00:01:46] Tori I mean, but you need those small wins to feel to feel good about, you know, the rest of the rest of the world. Right?

[00:03:29] Tori That allowed all of you to vote on who the actual sexiest man of the year is because people magazine is incorrect.

[00:03:37] Tori Yeah, so that's just the way it is. So our second runner up for sexiest man 2024 was Luigi Mangione, who was my vote. I voted for him. So okay.

[00:03:52] Tori Yeah, I get it. Y'all have different tastes for me.

[00:03:54] Tori That's a crush.

[00:03:55] Tori I included I did my like December wrap up on Instagram already and I put a photo of Luigi in there and your friend friend of your pod where I was like, ha Luigi.

[00:04:08] Tori Yeah, we love Luigi.

[00:04:10] Tori Kind of pivotal to December 2024 or whatever.

[00:04:13] Tori Our runner up for sexiest man 2024 was not another one Chappelle from our our HAP is owned from the daddy network Chappelle got a lot of votes good for him.

[00:04:27] Tori And our room much deserved.

[00:04:30] Tori Good for Chappelle. He can he's on the podium. He can aspire to first place next year, although I'm pretty sure he is not stoked.

[00:04:37] Tori Yeah, he's on the podium.

[00:05:07] Tori I am so surprised at his career trajectory because he was already like a pretty big British star.

[00:05:13] Tori And then I just thought Bridgerton season two would be like his apex mountain.

[00:05:19] Tori And he so far surpassed that it is wild like people, if you like people, a lot of mainstream folks, not us, obviously, but just consider him like a movie star, not just like a Bridgerton star that yeah, you know, I kind of.

[00:05:37] Tori The box I put him in for the last couple years.

[00:05:39] Tori Listen, we were there before he got the Bridgerton leading man.

[00:05:43] Tori That's all I have to say.

[00:05:46] Tori 100% which I with the mud and jobs I was still D.

[00:05:53] Tori You saw the vision you you saw the blueprint you understood.

[00:06:19] Tori Yeah, he he would be definitely one of those stars where if like anything came out that he actually sucked.

[00:06:54] Tori Because you continually will be like, let's talk about these celebrities.

[00:06:58] Tori And I'll be like, I don't know who that person is.

[00:07:02] Tori I need you to explain this to me.

[00:07:04] Tori This is like so messy and you haven't covered it at all on Mess Magnets.

[00:07:14] Tori So this is about Grace and it's Brianna Chicken Fry, right?

[00:07:17] Tori Yes.

[00:07:18] Tori And so I learned who Brianna Chicken Fry is when all the stuff with her breakup came out.

[00:07:23] Tori Like, I don't know, month, month and a half ago.

[00:07:25] Tori And so we like lightly covered that on Mess Magnets.

[00:07:29] Tori But other than that, never talked about this in my life.

[00:07:32] Tori I still don't really know who she is.

[00:07:33] Tori I have no clue who Grace is.

[00:07:35] Tori I need you to explain it.

[00:07:38] Tori I know, I feel like there is a screenshot of like a podcast announcement that Sasha has

[00:07:44] like had in our Mess Magnets master post, but we haven't talked about it on the pod yet.

[00:07:50] Tori And I like clicked the link and I was like, I don't know.

[00:07:53] Tori I could see her on the street.

[00:07:55] Tori And I wouldn't know a thing.

[00:07:56] Tori That's fair.

[00:07:58] Tori And I think a lot of people will resonate with that, but stoked to tell you about it.

[00:08:03] Tori So yes, everyone knows that in September, Zach Ryan and Brianna Chicken Fry broke up.

[00:08:09] Tori She came out on VFS and described like a really toxic and abusive relationship.

[00:08:16] Tori And some of it was, you know, stuff that we had kind of known for a while or had been

[00:08:23] following for a while.

[00:08:24] Tori And some of it was like brand new information.

[00:08:26] Tori But I think for me, the hardest part was that Brianna, not to make it about me, but Brianna

[00:08:34] and Grace O'Malley, which is her co host on the plan three uncut podcast, which is on barstool.

[00:08:42] Tori She's been friends with for 15 years.

[00:08:45] Tori And they're they kind of had a friendship breakup, like their relationship was kind of collateral from this romantic relationship.

[00:08:54] Tori And that like, sucks.

[00:08:56] Tori Like, that's just really hard to like watch.

[00:08:59] Tori So it's like, so Brianna went to like boyfriend island with Zach Ryan and then lost touch with Grace, who was like her longtime best friend.

[00:09:09] Tori Okay, yeah, we're on the same page.

[00:09:11] Tori I think she kind of detailed some incidents with Zach detailing kind of like his anger and like bad moods and like all or nothing kind of like, does something really shitty and then like buys her like an extravagant birthday stuff like all of that kind of like classic behavior.

[00:09:28] Tori And she kind of detailed this incident where basically Zach got into a really big altercation with friends and people think that the friend in question was Grace.

[00:09:39] Tori Okay, kind of what happened was they decided to put the podcast on hold.

[00:09:44] Tori So people are like, okay, like that makes sense.

[00:09:47] Tori A lot's going on.

[00:09:48] Tori Let's like put it on pause.

[00:09:50] Tori And, you know, revisit in the spring when things have like kind of settled down.

[00:09:54] Tori And people have been like talking about how they've been okie-tokie on the podcast, like that they're not fully anymore.

[00:10:02] Tori So they put it on pause and then they decide to like fully shelf it, which is like pretty surprising because I feel like their main source of income, the reason that they're on Barstool and stuff like that is because they're podcasters.

[00:10:17] Tori Okay.

[00:10:18] Tori And so like, okay, like, we'll see what they do next.

[00:10:20] Tori And then Bri says, okay, by the way, I'm bringing back plan Bri, but like basically by myself.

[00:10:29] Tori And like this fact and people are like, well, it is plan Bri.

[00:10:32] Tori She started and stuff like that.

[00:10:33] Tori Grace came in on like episode 17.

[00:10:36] Tori So I really feel like it's like as much and there's like over 500 episodes.

[00:10:40] Tori It's like you really feel like it's like as much as like Grace's podcast as it is Bri's.

[00:10:47] Tori And then Bri went on BFFs and like.

[00:10:50] Tori Just talked about kind of their falling out and I think was like really dismissive of Grace was like I gave her her career.

[00:10:59] Tori I gave her somewhere to live.

[00:11:01] Tori I like brought her into this world.

[00:11:03] Tori And I don't know you just really don't want to hear a best friend talking about another best friend like that.

[00:11:08] Tori And also just like friends don't bring friends into Barstool sports.

[00:11:13] Tori Like let's be very clear on that.

[00:11:16] Tori 100%

[00:11:17] Tori 100% it was like you like added like so much toxicity to her life.

[00:11:22] Tori Yeah.

[00:11:23] Tori And then Grace sorry is a stand up comedian as well.

[00:11:29] Tori And that's like true calling.

[00:11:31] Tori She did a set about how she was like going through a divorce and like all of this stuff.

[00:11:35] Tori And then she decides to quit Barstool.

[00:11:38] Tori And Dave Portnoy has the audacity to be like she quit on her own volition.

[00:11:45] Tori And it's like you hosted a podcast with her other best friend where she exposed all of their relationship trauma without her present and accounted for.

[00:11:55] Tori Like I feel like she feels like she got forced out.

[00:11:58] Tori Well it's like even like forced out or not.

[00:12:01] Tori It's like why would you want to be a part of something that obviously has no respect for you and doesn't care if you're there or not.

[00:12:10] Tori Like yes.

[00:12:12] Tori It doesn't.

[00:12:13] Tori Like to me.

[00:12:14] Tori It would be hard to respect someone who's like oh I'll just stay and like wait for my next opportunity here even though there's no indication that one will come.

[00:12:25] Tori Like you've obviously picked a side.

[00:12:27] Tori 100% and then here's where it gets like super messy.

[00:12:31] Tori So she is like I quit Barstool.

[00:12:34] Tori She posts it like pretty much surprises Dave and Bree by this.

[00:12:39] Tori And then the next day she gets picked up by none other than Miss Alex Cooper from Color Daddy and the Unwell Network.

[00:12:50] Tori Okay well at least I this sounds like the first actual good podcaster that

[00:12:54] Tori Alex Cooper is back.

[00:12:56] Tori No literally.

[00:12:58] Tori I don't even really like Grace to be honest but like it's kind of like it's like I don't know maybe she's like the lesser of two evils or whatever but like I I don't know I'm like if you're friends with and you're like working at Barstool it's like whatever like everyone's a loser in this situation.

[00:13:16] Tori But yeah it makes sense because she's a big party girl and that's a color daddy brand.

[00:13:25] Tori But it's really interesting to me because obviously like does Dave know about this?

[00:13:31] Tori And then I noticed did Alex like scoop one of his like most famous podcasters like what's up with that?

[00:13:38] Tori Yeah that's super weird because like so for people who don't know as well and this is like super super high level not detailed because again I don't really fuck with Barstool stuff.

[00:13:48] Tori But her daddy started on Barstool with Alex Cooper and what was her old co-host name?

[00:13:55] Tori Sophia

[00:13:55] Tori Sophia and like I don't think I'm alone in saying that like Sophia was the better podcaster of that duo when the podcast started and it started it was like very much a sex podcast like they got really famous because of like giving advice on how to get blowjobs and stuff like that like it's like really great.

[00:14:18] Tori And like I'm like I'm just gonna say it basic advice that you could get anywhere anywhere like they were not reinventing the wheel just.

[00:14:28] Tori No it was kind of like Cosmo in the early 2000s but like podcast form.

[00:14:33] Tori It was it was like oh yeah like put a donut.

[00:14:36] Tori Why does that stick out to me so much?

[00:14:43] Tori Because it's the most insane thing anyone could ever suggest.

[00:14:46] Tori Why would anybody do that?

[00:14:48] Tori I don't know.

[00:14:49] Tori I truly can't even imagine why that would be fun for either party or enjoyable in a sexual way.

[00:14:56] Tori It's weird.

[00:14:57] Tori So that is one that will just always Cosmo will always be famous for that one thing.

[00:15:02] Tori 100% yeah.

[00:15:04] Tori It was very much that.

[00:15:05] Tori Yes.

[00:15:06] Tori It was very much that vibe and then there was like a crazy like friend slash co-worker breakup between Alex and Sophia that ended up with

[00:15:16] Tori Alex like pushing Sophia out and becoming the only the only host of Call Her Daddy.

[00:15:21] Tori Which is when it pivoted into this interview show which has been able to interview so many like a list people like basically everyone from like Love Island contestants up to like well Kamala Harris.

[00:15:35] Tori Right.

[00:15:35] Tori So it's a wide range of interviews and like if you've ever watched one.

[00:15:41] Tori You'll have noticed Alex Cooper's not like a very good interviewer but whatever.

[00:15:44] Tori No because she's not that trained not that we're fucking trained podcasters like trained interviewers either but we don't have interview shows we have chat shows.

[00:15:51] Tori Exactly.

[00:15:53] Tori Yeah I just am annoyed and she like fully I believe they wanted more money because they were getting ripped off by Barstool.

[00:16:00] Tori They are the most successful I think like.

[00:16:03] Tori Yes.

[00:16:03] Tori Women women hosted podcasts like they were with Sophia and without Sophia.

[00:16:09] Tori And and I guess that that says something but yeah they wanted more money because they were getting ripped off by Barstool so fair.

[00:16:16] Tori And then so they like were kind of protesting love that for them.

[00:16:21] Tori And then basically Alex cut her out of the deal because she felt like they were really gonna like lose everything with Barstool.

[00:16:29] Tori And yeah Dave bad version Alex shady also.

[00:16:35] Tori And yeah it's just wild.

[00:16:37] Tori It's just very interesting.

[00:16:39] Tori I'm so curious to see what Grace does on this network what her podcast is going to be about if it will like sink or swim like I'm just I'm very in the story.

[00:16:51] Tori Yeah I think it's going to be really interesting.

[00:17:08] Tori And so it's like Alex Cooper has been getting people who are like names or like people that would be like TikTok famous to you know capitalize on their name to get success.

[00:17:27] Tori Not I hate to say yet.

[00:17:32] Tori Not everyone is cut out to make a podcast.

[00:17:35] Tori Some people are never good at it.

[00:17:37] And I feel like in general, that's kind of how it's been.

[00:17:41] Because a lot of times like you get,

[00:17:43] you can get really big on TikTok by just like being hot and like posting

[00:17:47] clips of your body and like makeup tutorials don't necessarily

[00:17:54] correlate to a podcast, right? Like, it's just, it's a different thing.

[00:17:57] And so I feel like this is kind of a

[00:18:03] desperate ploy because Alex Cooper needs someone who can do a podcast.

[00:18:07] And also to get another one over on Barstool because she made a ton of money

[00:18:12] with her deal going to Spotify and leaving Barstool.

[00:18:17] Totally. Yeah. You're totally right about the podcast thing.

[00:18:21] Not to like toot our own horn or anything,

[00:18:23] but it is just interesting because I feel like when you go on reality TV,

[00:18:29] like a Harry Jousey, et cetera,

[00:18:31] you are basically guaranteed like an influencer career at this point via like

[00:18:37] Instagram or TikTok or whatever.

[00:18:39] But I feel like podcasting is actually like the one thing that like might be

[00:18:45] more difficult to break into.

[00:18:46] Like, I know there are very, obviously very successful reality TV stars that have

[00:18:51] moved over to podcasting, but like some on this network,

[00:18:55] but I feel like some not like Megan Trainor's podcast when I saw her download numbers.

[00:19:01] Megan Trainor has a podcast news to me personally.

[00:19:05] But it's like,

[00:19:08] for to Harry Jousey's credit,

[00:19:10] he turned being on like the most no name Netflix show into a full influencer career and like good for him.

[00:19:16] Um, he's got that savvy, but like I.

[00:19:22] Um, like here's the just the description of like his podcast,

[00:19:26] his podcast called boyfriend material.

[00:19:28] Like where's the boyfriend material?

[00:19:29] Yeah.

[00:19:30] And it says,

[00:19:31] listen up,

[00:19:32] you naughty little chickens dating,

[00:19:34] sex and relationships in your twenties.

[00:19:36] It's messy,

[00:19:36] confusing.

[00:19:37] And sometimes you just want the male perspective.

[00:22:21] it's like really bottom of the barrel.

[00:49:33] but they grew apart season after season because of the choices he makes and the direction they make him take.
