[00:02:16] Lively, Justin Baldoni saga does continue. Sasha was texting me the other day. She's so mad

[00:02:23] that she doesn't get to talk about this. So sorry.

[00:02:27] This will happen, Sasha, when you're when you're out exploring the world.

[00:02:32] Yeah. Like a three week vacation. Sometimes you miss mess. But basically, obviously, we already

[00:02:38] talked about Blake Lively filing her complaint. And I want to be super clear about this because

[00:02:47] I think people immediately are taking Justin Baldoni's filing and saying, oh, this means that

[00:02:55] he is telling the truth because he filed directly with the courts. And I, I just want to be very

[00:03:05] clear. So Reb, who is a lawyer on TikTok, who does the like, unhinged court transcripts, posted

[00:03:13] a video explaining exactly why. But basically, because Blake is filed an employment complaint

[00:03:18] in the state of California. She needs to receive a right to sue before she can file the lawsuit. So

[00:03:27] that's why it was filed with the tribunal versus being a court filing. That's the simplification of

[00:03:36] it. Please go check out Reb on on TikTok if you want an actual lawyer to explain it to you. But

[00:03:42] everything is alleged. We don't know anything. I just want to say that right up front. Like it's

[00:03:48] kind of wild for people who don't understand the legal system at all, including myself,

[00:03:53] to sit there and be like, ah, because this was filed. That means this is the truth. That's how the

[00:04:00] legal system works.

[00:04:02] Yeah, I feel like I have a very tough time following stuff like this, because especially when the ticky

[00:04:10] tack comes from the who filed what exactly and when. Like, I didn't realize there was an order.

[00:04:16] They didn't think it was like a bid mass math problem. Like, okay, this one comes before this

[00:04:21] one, then that one is correct. And that one's fine. I don't know.

[00:04:24] Yeah, when I think that's the right way to think about it, like we're not, we're not lawyers. We're

[00:04:28] not judges. We're not like, we're only privy to what we actually see. And so I just think we

[00:04:35] should be really clear up front that like, this is all complicated and we should kind of take the

[00:04:41] wait and see approach. Obviously the stuff in Blake's filing is really troubling. And as Sasha said,

[00:04:49] when we talked about some of it where it's like, well, some of it has to be true because how would

[00:04:55] you do have it in writing. But basically, Justin Baldoni has filed, he is filing against the New York

[00:05:02] Times for libel, which based on all the lawyers I follow, it's like the First Amendment is extremely

[00:05:12] strong and there's a lot of precedent. So it is unlikely that he would be successful in any

[00:05:18] case against a newspaper. But basically, he's alleging that Blake Lively's suit

[00:05:24] is misleading and is set to make him look bad in order to fix her negative reputation and that it

[00:05:34] was intentionally salacious and also accusing her of doing a hostile takeover of the movie.

[00:05:40] It ends with us.

[00:05:43] And this movie, it ends with us. Is it released already?

[00:05:48] Yes. So it was released in the fall in theaters and there was a lot of controversy then about

[00:05:56] This was the movie, right? Where like all the interviews leading up, there was some controversy

[00:06:00] with? Okay.

[00:06:01] Yes. Where it was like, wow, people do not like each other. People are not following Justin Baldoni

[00:06:07] on Instagram, but they are following Blake Lively. And like all of the press tour was just really wild.

[00:06:14] And then Blake Lively would be like, grab your florals and go see it ends with us. And then,

[00:06:20] which was obviously the marketing strategy of the movie. But then people who know what it's about

[00:06:24] are like, wait, this is a movie about domestic violence. Like maybe we should treat it with more

[00:06:28] care. And then it kind of got out of control of people being super anti Blake Lively, which again,

[00:06:36] there are reasons to be anti Blake Lively.

[00:06:40] And stuff associated with this movie may or may not be among that list of reasons. We don't we don't know.

[00:06:47] I've not watched this movie.

[00:06:49] Yeah, I never will because I'll never provide money to Colleen Hoover, who is my sworn enemy,

[00:06:54] even though she doesn't know I exist. But yeah, like there's some there's messy stuff of like.

[00:07:01] Blake, they said that he was fat shaming Blake because he asked how much she weighs in order to

[00:07:08] train so that he could lift her up in the movie, which I don't think is fat shaming. I think that's

[00:07:13] like occupational health and safety. But then it just has all been really messy. And now it's playing

[00:07:19] out over the courts or it will play out over the courts. And basically, Business Insider did a really

[00:07:25] good explainer of this. And basically, the lawyers that talked to Business Insider are saying it's

[00:07:33] this is more of a war of public relations versus the actual case itself. And things are likely going

[00:07:40] to just continue getting uglier from here.

[00:07:46] And I feel like at least once a year now we have like a very high profile celebrity court case.

[00:07:53] And I feel like this has become the one for the year.

[00:07:58] Yeah, this is the next one. And that's why I feel like I want to just hold it with kid gloves,

[00:08:06] because I feel like all of these big salacious celebrity lawsuits have started out looking kind

[00:08:13] of one way. And then when you really dig into it, they've almost all ultimately been kind of abuse

[00:08:20] tactics towards women. And so I'm just like, I don't know. I don't want to look at it the wrong

[00:08:26] way and then get caught up in the public relations of it all. I don't Yeah, I completely agree with it's

[00:08:34] a lot is these things like I, it's funny, because I feel like at one point, I was very tapped into

[00:08:40] all the news, all the mess going on in the celebrity scene. And in the last like three or so years,

[00:08:46] I've just kind of started disassociating more and more and more, which has its benefits and and

[00:08:52] drawbacks, because then also I'm not like, aware of what's going on around me or in the in the like,

[00:08:58] pop culture scene.

[00:09:00] Yeah, 100%. But it also is totally logical to pull back because like all news, everything is just getting

[00:09:08] crazier and crazier. And sometimes you got to protect your peace. But I and there's a lot more to all of this

[00:09:15] with the complaints. But I think Sasha will murder me, allegedly if we go into all the nitty gritty

[00:09:23] without her. So I think that we should just shelve this and Sasha and I because she's got some thoughts

[00:09:29] and she's gonna want to share them anyways. So we'll save that for when she's back.

[00:09:33] Part of me wants to talk for the next 20 minutes and pump this full of misinformation to bother Sasha

[00:09:37] so much that she has to spend an hour fixing it next time.

[00:11:01] I was looking at the list of winners and nominees

[00:11:05] and I was like, oh my God, I'm

[00:11:07] I'm becoming my parents because

[00:11:09] what are I don't know any of these movies.

[00:11:12] I don't know any anything that's going on

[00:11:14] but I will say I was looking at I think it was the comedy nominees

[00:11:18] for the for the stand-up comedy and it did.

[00:11:21] I did see the nominee list and I saw Rami had a new special out.

[00:11:24] So I watched that last night, which was delightful.

[00:11:31] consume an award show is finding out about new things to watch and just

[00:14:29] and she and Tom Holland got engaged over the holidays.

[00:14:37] You know, again, not being tapped in as much as I once used to be

[00:14:41] means that I'm not really, you know, as invested in these celebrity couples.

[00:14:46] But Tom Holland and Zendaya are like a couple that I will typically see

[00:14:49] interviews from and clips from on my YouTube shorts or my TikTok algo.

[00:14:55] And they just seem like an unproblematic, happy couple.

[00:14:58] And, you know, they're trying to keep their life as private as they can potentially.

[00:15:02] But I'm happy for them.

[00:15:04] This is a couple that deserves the happiness.

[00:15:06] A hundred percent.

[00:15:07] And I think a lot of people did predict for 2025 that Zendaya and Tom Holland

[00:15:13] would get engaged or get married like secretly.

[00:15:17] And then just like post one wedding photo and break the Internet was like

[00:15:21] a lot of people were really, you know.

[00:15:26] Well, guessing and predicting, but she was wearing a ring on the red carpet.

[00:15:31] And then this morning, the TMZ confirmed that they are engaged.

[00:15:38] But it's also like Zendaya is not going to wear a ring on her engagement finger

[00:15:42] just out to the Golden Globes if she's not engaged.

[00:15:48] Like, I mean, especially when that's just going to open a can of worms, you know,

[00:15:52] it's like, yeah, I want to get bothered by the press as to what is this?

[00:15:57] And it also looks like she has a tattoo of the letter T, which was peeking out of the top of her dress as well.

[00:16:31] Obviously, I say this knowing that it is a trope on TV to make fun of the people who do it.

[00:16:42] But I think if you look at it from this perspective, if someone has been a part, an integral part of your life to the point where you've grown with them, you've learned from them, you've been inspired by them.

[00:16:52] And they've just been an overall positive inspiration and presence in your life.

[00:16:58] Then in the event even of a decoupling or a breakup, you could keep it because you learned a lot.

[00:17:05] You know, now, obviously, in your future relationships, that could be a can of worms.

[00:20:41] But I didn't think much of this, like these award shows, in my opinion, take themselves a little too seriously.

[00:20:51] Let's put on our best outfits and then give each other awards for being the best at this.

[00:21:06] I so I think that the like house party comparison is close, but I think it's more like if you're at like a dinner party and someone like has their phone out at the table, you know?

[00:22:09] I think even in the in the party thing that I said, if it's a party for your friend, I think you should, again, avoid it.

[00:22:17] If your friend is in the clear, then do whatever you want.

[00:22:20] But in this situation, it feels like it's like, you know how there's that meme of the the man couch at a boutique that shopping and the husband sit in that chair.

[00:22:34] This can also feel a little bit like that, where it's like you're there to show support, but also, you know, this isn't for you.

[00:22:41] So you're not trying to take over.

[00:22:44] You're just trying to do your own thing, but you're there to show solidarity.

[00:22:47] And I think ultimately it comes down to what the two of them think.

[00:22:51] If I feel like given that she posted it on her socials, I'm going to go ahead and assume that it's tongue in cheek.

[00:22:58] And it's like you're you're in on this, like you're fine with him doing this versus if she was not happy with it, then obviously you did something wrong.

[00:23:09] And thank God for that, because everything I ever find out about their relationship is against my will.

[00:24:53] But it does make you think of like, oh, well, how would I react in these situations if if it were magnified to that level?

[00:25:02] I think that it gives like more empathy for people that are in the public eye, even though it's not even a percent of a percent of a percent of a percent of a percent in the same realm, if that makes sense.

[00:25:20] I feel like, you know, to this level where you're literally like we're talking articles about Zendaya had a T on her tattoo.

[00:29:13] But then now I feel like everybody's got a podcast.

[00:29:16] YouTubers have all moved in the podcast scene.

[00:29:22] So, I mean, no disrespect to any Bunny XO fans and podcast listeners, but just saying I'm overwhelmed.

[00:29:59] I think having podcasts become more mainstream and more consumable by people is only good because I've long said listening to podcasts has gotten me through a lot of times, sad times, happy times.

[00:30:34] After a Google search, I have discovered that Bunny XO is Jelly Roll's wife.

[00:31:02] And the reason why this is a little bit notable is because she was extremely candid about her brief entanglement with Morgan Wallen.

[00:39:11] Um, so this story happens on a Sunday morning.

[00:39:16] It was at some time around American Thanksgiving, generally speaking, but it was a Sunday morning

[00:39:22] and our messenger worked at a bakery.

[00:39:26] So when people work in bakeries, they have to wake up crazy early for the opening shifts.

[00:39:31] And she was opening that day.

[00:39:33] So she had an alarm set for 4am to wake up.

[00:39:37] Horrible.

[00:39:38] My nightmare.

[00:39:38] Uh, when the alarm goes off, she wakes up and she sees a man standing in the doorway of

[00:39:46] her bedroom.

[00:39:48] Right?

[00:39:50] Oh my.

[00:39:54] So, and so our messenger says any normal person would probably scream or immediately call the

[00:40:01] police.

[00:40:02] But apparently that is not how my barely awake ADHD brain worked in that moment.

[00:40:15] I listen, I'm waking up and screaming.

[00:40:25] Well, you wake up at four in the morning and there's a man in your doorway.

[00:40:38] Because I can recognize that some immediate appearances can look more terrifying than others.

[00:40:48] Uh, but if you're just standing, like, if you're like eating a bowl of cereal at the

[00:40:51] doorway, I'm like, okay, seems harmless somehow.

[00:40:54] So what was going on here that, that.

[00:41:00] Uh, and so this person looked to be about the same age as our messenger, maybe a little

[00:41:05] bit younger, was fairly nicely dressed.

[00:41:07] And so our messenger didn't feel any immediate danger.

[00:41:10] So I guess that kind of gives some info to the pose, uh, question.

[00:41:13] Like he, he didn't seem dangerous to me, a strange man in my home.

[00:41:18] I feel like I'm in danger, but maybe that's because I've listened to too many true crime

[00:41:23] podcasts.

[00:41:24] And so the guy goes, hi.

[00:41:26] And she says, what are you doing here?

[00:41:28] And he says, oh, I'm looking for my friend.

[00:41:30] And then he wanders out into the living room, which what?

[00:41:36] Okay.

[00:41:37] Um, this is when our messenger climbs out of bed.

[00:41:40] She was in bed this whole time up to this point.

[00:41:44] Okay.

[00:41:46] Um, so she gets out of bed.

[00:41:48] She follows him to the living room.

[00:41:50] She has no alarm bells ringing.

[00:41:51] She doesn't bring her cell phone with her.

[00:41:53] She goes out into the living room and she goes, who's your friend?

[00:41:56] Where does he live?

[00:41:58] He can't give her any info.

[00:41:59] She says, do you have his phone, his phone number?

[00:42:02] He says, no.

[00:42:04] He points at the couch and says, can I sleep there?

[00:42:09] Our messenger says no.

[00:42:11] And he says, okay.

[00:42:13] Opens the front door and leaves the apartment.

[00:42:18] Um, how did he get in the apartment?

[00:42:23] That is a great, a great, uh, great question.

[00:42:27] At the end.

[00:42:28] Um, it is the one and only time this messenger ever forgot to lock her front door in her whole life.

[00:42:33] Oh my God.

[00:42:34] Listen, you're never on.

[00:42:36] You're never leaving it unlocked again.

[00:42:37] Yeah.

[00:42:38] That's it.

[00:42:38] That's a, you learned the lesson that time.

[00:42:40] And so she stared at the door for a minute, locks it behind them and then goes, okay, well that just happened.

[00:42:48] And then gets ready for work.

[00:42:53] Uh, as she's getting ready for work, putting on her shoes and jacket, she hears a thump in the hallway.

[00:42:57] And she's like, I don't know, maybe my neighbor dropped something at five in the morning.

[00:43:04] Okay.

[00:43:05] Um, she opens her door and finds the same stranger is sprawled on the floor right outside her door.

[00:43:12] Uh, because there was a bench directly outside her, her place that I guess he had chosen to try and sleep on and fell off of the bench.

[00:43:21] This man was peppered.

[00:43:22] Yes.

[00:43:24] There has to be.

[00:43:26] There's no way.

[00:43:28] Uh, and so he gets starts to get up and our messenger notices that he has a little cut on his face.

[00:43:34] That he's bleeding from.

[00:43:35] And she goes, are you okay?

[00:43:36] You're bleeding.

[00:43:37] He goes, shit.

[00:43:41] I, at this time, she has to leave for work.

[00:43:45] So she goes, okay, I got to go to work.

[00:43:47] Steps around him and leaves, leaves him in the building.

[00:43:49] Just goes to work.

[00:43:50] Okay.

[00:43:52] Uh, when she goes to work, she tells her boss about this whole incident.

[00:43:57] And the boss says, yeah, you have to call the police.

[00:44:02] Uh, our messenger's like, no, he's harmless.

[00:44:06] He just needs to go somewhere else.

[00:44:08] And the boss's like, no, you have to call the police.

[00:44:10] And so she calls the police and she later learns what actually happened during this time from her downstairs neighbor because she was at work.

[00:44:18] Right.

[00:44:19] And so I guess the same man was like kicking her apartment door, trying to get in.

[00:44:25] And her neighbor heard the commotion and went to go confront this person with a gun.

[00:44:31] Um, oh my God.

[00:44:34] But like, he was like, I'm going to check on my neighbor, make sure she's okay.

[00:44:37] Uh, but as he got up to go see what's going on, the police were already escorting the visitor out because she had called them.

[00:44:42] Um, so.

[00:44:45] Uh huh.

[00:44:48] And is that the end of the story?

[00:44:50] And that's it.

[00:44:53] So this strange man was in her home, tried to then break in later and got taken away by the police who were only called because our messenger's boss made her.
